It's a flyby post as its bathtime in my household.

Sapphy petrol is, at some stations here, $1.64 per litre. I really think the service stations are the ones that are driving it up because they think they can! Oh well that's just life and we still pay it because we need petrol!

A group of us from the Romance Writers of Australia are having a challenge for June, 50,000 words in 30 days.  Like the Nano that is held in November.

It's been great for me, because it's got me writing again.  I thought I'd make it easy on myself and write 5, 10 word novellas.  Completed one last weekend and am about a third of the way through my second.  I had hoped to write more but I was busy last week and have been out Sat and Sun of this weekend.  Next week looks nice and clear for me. 

The cake this year was a Magic Toadstool.  I made the cakes and Jason just decorated them.  Unfortunately he has the pictures on his camera and that is with him in he middle of the ocean off Singapore somewhere.  Hopefully on dry land :)

Ack on the tyres Sally.  I always fear a blowout.  Are you watching the tennis?  Nadal just slaughter Federer in the first set.  Looks like ol' Rog is going to be the same as Sampras.  The French Open appears to be elusive to him.  Of course there is still plenty of time for him to lift his game but I wonder if it's a mental thing with him and playing Nadal on Clay? 

It's been a long time since I've been here but for the first time ever I'm coming in to claim a Purple Heart and a Medal of Bravery.

Yes Dee, do not fall off your chair I've finally submitted something.  I sent a query letter and synopsis off for Desire on Wednesday.  It was quite an exhilarating feeling.  I'm going to take anything that I receive in my stride because I'm proud to say I've finally taken the first step.

Of course, ask me again in a couple of months if I haven't heard anything how liberated I still feel

Okay very tired now, went out for dinner last night and had a late night.

Anyway I did something pretty major this week.  I actually sent off a query letter and synopsis to Desire.  It was all very nerve wracking printing it out and putting it the envelope.  Even got one of the girls at work to post it for me.  That way it would go and I wouldn't be tempted to keep it!

I've very excited about it although the waiting now begins!
