You have the best questions!  Everything you ask is something I want to know.  LOL

    :)

What?  Justin doesn't want you to go down to GA?  What if you WANT to go?  Hmmph...I'd go anyway I think.  Then again...I don't know what the heck is going on with you guys, so...

Hello, to the rest you!  I haven't been here in forever.  Nice to see I haven' t missed that much, though.  Well, except Dee's sock story.  Loved that!  Well padded...oh, my God!  Too funny!!!

Mind if I borrow Lori and Julie's, Olivia? :)  It's so nice to get info/advice from people who've done it before...especially successfully! :)

And I'm eagerly awaiting February so I can try again.  Seriously, I didn't do a darn thing.  Exercised about eight times in the first two weeks and not once since then.  I've only written about 9k.  School's started, but I'm totally dragging butt with that.  I'm just gonna blame it on the weather and hope next month is better. :(

KC-(((hugs)))  Being lied to always sucks--how can you trust him again, you know?  But--and you may forever hate me for this--maybe he was reacting to you moving on?  And maybe he couldn't admit it sooner because he regrets it?

Okay...running away before Dee shakes a finger at me... :)

My sister's boyfriend's father was killed last week in an accident, too.  So sad.  Even sadder was the fact that when the obit came out, there was a name mentioned that Shane didn't recognize.  Come to find out he's had a half-brother he never knew existed (his mother finally told him his dad had been married once before her).  What a way to find out you've got a brother, huh?

    (((hugs))) to your coworker, KC.

The book with two men is actually Tori Carrington's Shameless.  I guess they must believe in "the more, the merrier", huh?  Since they've apparently done something similar before. :)

Nope, no men interacting. In one, the heroine slept with two different men on separate occasions and it was pertinent to the plot.  In the other there's a scene with the hero and another woman in which he...well, let's just say he has a good time and he is thinking about the heroine with the help of the other woman.

To be honest, stuff like what happened in both of these books could and does happen in real life--people are not perfect.  It's just exciting, because, yes, it definitely opens the doors for what we can do.

Believe me, I am not complaining. :)

Having more than one sexual partner, in detail, in the story?  I guess I didn't realize that was okay in any Harlequin line other than Spice.

I mean, I know about the no real rules bit...if it works for your story, do it.  If editors don't like it, they'll tell ya.  But I thought there was a hard and fast rule that, even though this is Blaze, the sexual content was to involve only the hero and heroine or secondary characters in their own relationship.

I've read only a handful of older Blazes and lots of recent ones (last couple of years) and I'd never come across one that had the main characters actively "with" other people.  Now I'm being a pain about this :), because it would really work for me in my current WIP.  Not full on sex, but a pretty steamy scene between the hero and another woman in a moment of weakness, possibly involving orgasm.  Haven't decided to what extent I'll go with it yet.

    Know what I mean?

I just read two February Blazes, Tori Carrington's Shameless and Isabel Sharpe's My Wildest Ride.  Now I know Shameless is an Extreme, so I get why what happened in that book flew (I'm not going to specify and ruin it for anyone).  But in My Wildest Ride there's also a scene that I thought really pushed the limits of "one man, one woman".  As an aspiring wanting to write for Blaze someday, I'm just curious if something has changed in the "rules".

Does that make sense?  I don't want to give any specifics and give away these books, which were great, BTW. :)

    Thanks!

Wow, you ladies have been busy.  Er, wait...maybe it's just that I've been lazy? LOL

Lauren-Congrats on your sale!! Woohoo! :)

Kaitlin-It's butt-a$$ cold here, too, and I'm sure you'd find it beautiful, but it's all I can do not to go completely insane.  I can't stand this below-zero crap.

KC-If you read this before I email you again, disregard the email I sent you this morning. :)  Good God, girl, you've got a lot going on.  Critting is of the least importance.  At least mine anyhow. :)  Take care of yourself first!  Sorry to hear about your man...er, boy situation.  I'll refrain from giving my opinion as not to force Dee to break out her whip, but, as Kaitlin said, if you ever need to vent, you've got our email addys!!  Big hugs for you, chica.

Amber-You've been pretty quiet on here, so I don't have anything to say to you.  But I don't want you to feel left out either, so...how 'bout them Packers?  Was Mike bummed?  I was reprimanded by the Dell guy when I ordered my new comp on Sunday night--he's like, "You're from WI.  Why aren't you watching the game?  I'm trying to watch it here and you're interrupting me!" :)

Toodles y'all.  I'll try to be better about keeping up here.Wink
