Yes I'm on a high cause the novella did well and made the top 20.

I've been busy working the day job and doing OT so haven't had much time to do anything but sleep. I've gotten some writng and plotting done - more organizing of files and creating spread sheets to keep up with submissions, acquistions, royalties, WIPs, etc. Trying to figure out how to squeeze in more writing time when working 10-12 hours a day at the day job.

And trying to figure out how to produce more, write more, write faster, etc so I can build the backlist up, keep my name out there, etc. And working on tweaking/editing my spice brief. Polishing up and did a bit of revising on the reject brief and about to sub that to a different publisher where I think it could fit beautifully.

So I'm still here just a bit tired, trying not to catch the office bug and counting down the days to my long weekend next week.

So having said all that - I am writing, even if it is just a little bit at a time.

Thanks for the hugs everyone. But it really wasn't a bad rejection, it was actually kinda encouraging.

Maybe the next one will  be a yes, until then though I just h ave to keep writing.

I got my R on my Brief today. But it's good cause this next one I'm getting ready to submit is even hotter and way less romantic than the other.

Plus it's an urban fantasy - a play on an old fable.

I got my R today. I expected it too. But the reason is valid, too much romance even though the heat level was there.

Anyway, it's good cause I'm going to polish my other one and send it off. And I'm still on a high about my great review and the wonderful feedback from readers for my latest novella. Plus I have another place I can sub the rejected spice brief too with a bit of tweaking.

    Hi Portia.

Yes it's for the pub we share.

Info is up at my blog (I hope that's okay to say) since my website is still being worked on.

I think I need an extra 6 hours in the day to do everything I want to do though.

    Lorie.

I was just joking about the not noticing.

I understand about the pirating cause I've had one of my early e-books, my first one appear on a pirated site. I say whatever can be done to stop the pirating should be.

Thanks. I'm excited about the new release cause it's a departure from what I've normally done in the erotic romance genre. The good review gave me a boost.

And I wanna query but the wording of the email confirmation said not to send any follow up queries so I'm just going to wait and see.

    Nope. No word.

I'm trying to focus on the new release. I got a great review for it. And waiting for my website to be finished. Since all the glitches are worked out.

I'm trying to think of a name for this "drug" that I created in my single title - Stealth Desires, Sensual Endurance, Dark Pleasures - nothing is jumping out at me.

Thanks. I'm still here just in lurk mode.

I figured not many would have noticed I was gone anyway. Cry

I'm trying not to go crazy with the waiting. Innocent

I'm still around. I doubt that anyone noticed I was absent though.

I've been writing working on my proposal synopsis which I didn't do in the beginning so it's really biting me in the a** right now. And trying to do promo and marketing for my novella that's coming out on Sunday with another pub.

I did get a great reveiw for it though. Which brightened my day. And my website is being redone so hopefully it'll be updated by Sunday.

I haven't seen any reviews outside of the forums for the briefs but that may be due to the secure format. I don't know if they have review copies available.

And I'm still waiting to here on my brief. I hate waiting. I'm trying to be patient. But I hate waiting.
