- Happy Independence Day!07/04/2008 - 22:01
Hope everyone had a great holiday...a bit cool here today but some sun in the afternoon and the most beautiful sunset...nature's fireworks!
And to top it off...the Red Sox beat the Yankees...again!

margarita, that is! The synopsis is done! Yeah! It sucks but at least my crit partners have it now and I fully expect it to come back covered in red but that’s a good thing! I know they are going to tell me “More emotion! More emotion!” but I hope the plot works…
Sam…love your version of the easy synopsis!
Carrie…thanks for the meanwhile tip! It worked!
Tasha...enjoy the parade!
Debra…thanks so much for the synopsis advice (copying/pasting for round two!) and wow, that’s quite a surprise for your January release! Yes, I’ve heard editors aren't sticklers about synopsis matching the finished product…thanks goodness! And $5K to fix AC? Wow!
Oh, and did I mention we lost the cat last night? Now, she’s an indoor cat --- never goes outside unless it’s in her carrier to the vet but for five hours we could not find her. I was trying not to panic but I continued to walk from the attic to the first floor to the basement waving around a packet if Friskers praying she didn’t get adventurous and sneak outside. She finally appeared as suddenly as she disappeared and we have no idea where she was…I was so happy I hugged her and lectured her at the same time…just like the human kids!
4th of July plans…not much other than the neighborhood bar-b-que tomorrow. Everyone is doing lobster except me and the DH (yuck! --- ah, the lobster, not the DH!) We’ll throw a couple of steaks on the grill instead. Fireworks are tonight at what used to be an Army base that is now a business community. The DD and her bf are going so we’ve been told to stay away --- like they would even know we are there with the crowd! Yeesh!
Happy 4th All!

Just what I needed Ronda...
and no, so spreadsheet to help with this synopsis
which is why I am floundering...almost on page 4...
and then...
and then...
and then...
I know I have too many then's in there but at least it's s-l-o-w-l-y coming together (I hope!)
Back to the trenches!

then I come in and can't find what I wrote!
I guess I am just reading and thinking I'm replying...not good!
I've been toiling over a synopsis for the last 3 days and its not getting better...in fact it seem to get worse the more and more I write. Its at three pages (single spaced) and needs to be at two but that's the least of my worries...the book isn't done yet so I have no idea how it ends...but I can't put that in the synopsis --- editors tend to frown on that!
My 4th of July plans...neighborhood bar-b-que (yeah!!) and finishing this synopsis by the 7th so it can get in the mail! (boo!)

...should be tarred and feathered?
Can’t we just say:
- they meet
- they fight
- they fall in love
- they fight some more
- they see the error of their ways
- they make up
- HEA
geez that would be soooo much easier! I’ve been working (ha --- use that term loosely) on this synopsis for three days and I’ve hated every minute of it. And its still not done.
Kay…how was the facial? I’ve never had one either but its on my list of things to do!
Holly…hope the meeting with the DD new boy
toyfriend goes well. My dd has been hurt badly by a fewjerksboys but the one she’s dating now seems to be treating her nice. Something this mother requires!Maureen…I get that kind of response too…I just laugh say yes, sex is part of romance!
Anna…beautiful cover!
Rae…hugs on your crazy life and the R…details are great and knowing what do next time is a big plus but an R is still an R and hugs are deserved!
- 07/02/2008 - 11:04to hear about your niece...what a tragedy for such a young life to be cut down so early. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

because I get to go shopping here at eHarlequin! Nine terrific books in my cart in less than ten minutes...and I had to click on the fastest delivery time this month because I don't want to wait!
I got:
4 - SSEs
3 - Supers (inlcuding Holly's! Great cover!)
1 - Blaze
1 - HQNAnd I finished Kay's HIS SON'S TEACHER last night...what a wonderful read! But I have to wait until 2009 for another Tulane brother? That is just so unfair!
Off to visit Sam on the blogs! Then back to work!
Happy Canada Day!

because I am organized...does that make sense? Or blame it on my head being overloaded and if I don't write stuff down I'll lose it!
"I'm just not in the mood for chocolate."
Well, considering its a DS and not a DD I think you are okay...LOL!
And I already said it but I'll say it again...I loved WALL-E! It was entertaining and got its point across in pure Disney fashion...and I'm with your Rhonda...Eva is a true heroine!
Carrie...wow, hope your folks are doing better!
Kay...okay...not one but two who looks like Nick? Please tell me Luke gets his own story too! And while my 13 year old nephew shares the same name as the other brother I can't wait to read Ethan's story too!
Hey...where's the Ellen's?
- 06/30/2008 - 14:00
Saved all the smily faces for Nick!

I fell for Garret too --- in a slow, Beta hero kind-of-way...and Tobias...was hoping from the first meet that he'd find a HEA...and he did! But Nick...sigh, sigh and sigh again! There's always one brother that just a favorite, ya know?
Well done, Kay!!

Had a birthday party for my step-granddaugther on Saturday and saw WALL-E on Sunday all by my lonesome (great, great movie!!) and cleaned house! Whew!
Ronda…hugs on the back and jury duty. Ouch to both!
Susan…so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law...always a tough visit.
Marice…hope you got the tire fixed!
Linda C…enjoy your vacation in Florida!
Chelle…YEAH! Mr. Chelle is home (even if its just for a little while!) Enjoy and forget all about us! Happy Anniversary!
Holly…a 90 minute massage? Yeah, you’ve got a reason to be happy on this Monday! (Not like you need a reason, Miss Sunshine!) Hope you enjoyed it!
Maureen…hugs on the contest results!! How about submitting it to a editor?
Tasha…Sorry you can’t make it to San Fran and Happy Anniversary to you too! Wow, June brides abound here!
Jeannie…wow on the son’s police training! Gee, after all that I guess he’ll really know what the ‘good’ citizens are going through when they are other end of all that learning!
Nationals are one month away! Yeah!! Geez, my spreadsheet is filling up too fast --- gotta get some workshops in between all these get-togethers, luncheons, meets-for-drinks (note to self --- don’t leave the table and let and the editor to pay for your drinks! Not a smart move!)
