and fix this.  We've misspelled our tag name (once!) but, of course, it keeps showing up.

Can you remove  "Novel Obession" for us?

    Thanks!

I celebrated all weekend - and it's a long weekend in Canada!  I also rec'd some lovely presents - gift certificates to bookstores and my favourite jewellry store!  Guess I'm going shopping soon!

My sister sent me a cute stuffed pig - and she's wearing a crown that says "it's not easy being a goddess".  Boy, does she say it all.  I'm exhausted all the time!Innocent

I still have a birthday lunch this week and another dinner then I think the celebration is over... for another year!

My mother is 83 so she is moving into Independent Living where she has her own apt but they provide meals, a 24-hour emergency nurse and organized social activities.  When I saw the place I was ready to move in - but they wouldn't take me - I'm too young!  My sisters and I are really glad she has made this decision.  She has hip/mobility problems so we worry about her falling and realize if she does and breaks a hip it could be downhill for her from then.  She's the youngest of 11 children and all of her sisters have lived well into their 90's.  The eldest just passed away last year in her 101st year!  Her mother and her grandmother both lived until their mid-90's so we are hoping the same for her.

She should do quite well in the selling of her home - the Vancouver market is jumping by leaps and bounds, although they do expect it to slow some later this year.  This could be the best time to sell to get top $.

Well I better go - my arms are tired.  I scrubbed vinyl siding today!  Fortunately we had a beautiful sunny day although it was a bit cold.

Hi everyone, I've been in Challenge withdrawl this week - I've been busy preparing my mother's house for sale.  She's been there for 52 years so you can imagine the stuff.  Nothing of great interest or value just papers, cardboard and bits & pieces of things that have been thrown in drawers for years and now no one knows what they were for!

I had this week off, but no holiday for me.  My sister, who lives 400 miles away, came to visit and we just went into a cleaning and sorting frenzy.  It all worked, though, as we signed with a realtor today and they loved how the house looked.  Now the big job starts.  My sister leaves tomorrow so that leaves me to have the house kept up to "show ready".  My mom thinks everything is "good enough" - we tried to explain to her that it is easier to keep the house perfect and sell fast than to try to maintain the cleaniness and show staging for months on end.  The first showing/open house is on April 13th - I know what I'll be doing on the 12th!!

Needless to say, I haven't been reading much and I just haven't had time to blog books.  Oh, well, I hope to catch up in April and May.

I was pleased to pick up Rachel Vincent's Rogue yesterday along with the latest Roxanne St. Clair Bullet Catchers and Jo Beverley's latest release.  Who knows when I'll get a chance to get to them.

Cathie - I loved Sugar Daddy - what a great story.  I will warn everyone who has it on their TBR pile DO NOT read the blurb about the sequel, just released in hard cover.  It will ruin the SD story for you if you know what it is about.

    Bye for now,

Hi Mary - the book won, of course, now I have to scramble tomorrow morning to clean!

Margie - Debra Webb's books are excellent.  I just love her Colby Agency series (Harlequin Intrigue).

I finished a book this morning and will not dare to start another until company leaves - there's just too much to do!

    Hi Everyone!

Just finished a great book:  Nameless by Debra Webb - wow!  I could barely put it down.

Now, I've just started No Control by Shannon K. Butcher - 1.5 chapters in - and it's good too!

I need to do housework (company is arriving tomorrow!) but the book is calling to me.

I let you know which wins...I'm hoping it is the book!

Yes, Bobby is first introduced in Alone - I'm sure you'll have no problem finding it - it was only released a few years ago.

Her other series that I just adore begins with The Third Victim, which introduces Rainie Connor and Pierce Quincy, she's a cop going thru some really rough stuff and he's a big time FBI profiler.  The second book is The Next Accident, 3rd is The Killing Hour, (Rainie & Quincy have smaller roles & it introduces a new starring character) and then Gone is the most recent and I just loved it.  It focuses back on Rainie and Quincy and their relationship - it was very intense.  I'm anxiously awaiting the next release!

Actually I should correct myself - Pierce Quincy first shows up in The Perfect Husband - in a secondary role.  Then stars in The Third Victim.

Oh, what the heck!  Get them all!!

Hi Tiffany - I've haven't read Hide yet, but read the first in the series Alone.  I'm looking forward to Hide to see how the hero Bobby Dodge does, he was manipulated alot in Alone and I felt sorry for him.

I'm a big fan of Lisa Gardner's and am anxiously awaiting the next release of her Quincy/Connor series. Hope you enjoy the book!
