Lauren, BIG congrats on the Brief, and also for the exclusive on your Spice book.

Hope you have really good news in the coming weeks. We'll be counting down the days with you!

Shayla, sorry about the 'R', but you've got the right attitude. Keep on writing and subbing until something sticks. It will!Wink

Coming out from underneath a deadline to say thanks to everyone who tossed out 'food' ideas for my sexy chef book.

Body shots turned out to be highly interesting! lol!Embarassed

Now, back to the cave with my hunky chef. Things could be worse......

So, I'm writing my sexy playboy chef story (Hot In Here; May 09 from NAL) and of course, I have to have the naughty food scenes. I've got a few of those, and they were rather fun to write.

So, it got me to thinking. I know what foods I find sexy, but what about all of you fellow spicers.

Anyone want to toss out a food you might want used to seduce you?

And ah...er...I got most of the veggie phallic symbols covered, if you know what I meanWink

I discovered Kink years ago when 'OZ' preceeded it on Friday nights (I think that was short for Oswald Penetiarary, it had VERY naughty prisoners) Anyhoo, I got my parents hooked on Oz, then somehow my mom caught an episode of Kink. I nearly died when she asked if I thought 'clothes pins on the nipples wouldn't hurt'!Embarassed

My most memorable episode was the 'geriatric sex' one, the one with the old folks swapping partners. It was at once illuminating and disturbing. ACK!

You might also want to try Web Dreams and Sin Cities. I particularly like to watch Sin Cities, too. It gives you a global taste for what people are into, and the host is this Brit guy who gets roped into trying LOTS of different things. Very good research, albeit vicarious research!Foot

Thanks Lori for posting my pic! In case you're wondering, the female posterior is not mine, but rather, the nicely formed leather clad one is mine...as in, mine, I liked it. I wanted it.Kiss

I think I was probably the only one there NOT lusting after cover models, but instead, the lead singer of The Impalers. There's something about a long haired lead singer that gets the bad girl juices flowing. And, to be honest, I secretly have a fetish for nice buns and thighs in leather pants! So, I had fun oogling the lead singer in his leather pants. Thankfully our wonderful hostie took a pic of the singer's butt for me as a rememberance. so, everyone, that's Charlotte Arse! lol!

I had a great time at RT. Met the lovely Megan and was thrilled to finally meet Amanda. (we're in the Winter's Desire anthology along with Kristi Astor) as well as the lovely Kayla Perrin, whom I had tried to steal a title from! Alas, no such luck! lol! Lauren stopped by at the booksigning and it was great to finally put a face to a name. Lauren, your time is coming, girl!

Wished I could have met with Lauren Dane and Kimberley, but our paths just didn't cross. Maybe next time.

The food was abmisal, but hey, I survived and might have even lost a pound or two. The hotel was the pits, but the beds were Heaven.

In all I was pleased with the contacts I made and was happy to finally meet our hostie. I was thrilled to share some excellent creme brulee with Susan, our Spice Editor extraordinaire. Our historical panel went over well, and really surprised everyone with its attendance~standing room only! I'm also pleased that Addicted (Spice Feb 09) is already getting some buzz. It's now known as 'the opium book'.

Hey, what can I say I'm an opium and leather pants type of gal!

I get asked alot if Featherstone is my real name, and it is, thanks to hubby. Works good for a historical writer. It's a bugger, though to keep writing over and over for the day job.

Charlotte is not my first name. Hubby picked it. Sounds historical and it's his fav NASCAR track. Yeah.....pretty lame, eh?!

I once got an email from a guy in England doing a genealogy research on the family name Featherstone. He was amused to see that the colonial branch of the family was a little risque!Kiss
