Too funny about the plants
Friday we had a flower/plant person come by at work. I didn't buy any but my supervisor bought some and handed them out at a meeting as 'stress' relievers. I ended up with one, and I too wonder about it's life expectancy. My youngest son was selling plants last year for his Boy Scout troop and he sold one to his teacher. Spring break came around and he couldn't deliver the plant until after the break. I was so worried we would kill the plant before he could deliver it over a week later.

The quake woke me up just after 4:30 this morning. I wasn't sure what it was at first. Actually I thought I might have dreamed it as I wasn't very awake. Also one of the more major aftershocks was felt around here. Many of the people I work with slept right through it and didn't even notice the aftershock. I guess it just depended on where you were at the time.
5.2 was what they're saying it was. Not a major quake but for Central Illinois it sure unsettled me.

I'm an ex-Desirable. I bailed when they changed guidelines a few years ago. When they started tossing around the phrase emotionally unavailable, yeah, I knew I was done for.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking Desire and they say the changes have bolstered the line. Good for them. As for me I'll stick with my more approachable guys, and more down to earth settings.
So my personable advice is if the line doesn't work you, no matter how great the opportunity may seem, I'd stick with something that you can get excited about. Every time I think I may want to write a Blaze all I have to do is pick one up. The level of edginess and higher sensuality, not that it offends me, is greater than I'll ever achieve.
So my hat off to you Blaze writers. I can read it but I sure can't write it!

Jennifer - you're critic group got upset over two adverbs??? Sorry. Not meaning to speak ill of your group, but I suspect they're being a little overzealous. Check out some recently published books and see how those authors use adverbs. That might give you a better idea of what's acceptable and what isn't.

Thank goodness my kids aren't babies anymore. My oldest graduated last June and my youngest is in 3rd grade. I couldn't imagine trying to do all of this a few years ago. Although now it's not uncommon for half the teenagers in my neighborhood to take over my living room to play video games. So glad I convinced dh a few months ago I needed a laptop. LOL
And I also found the pregnancy site very helpful. Again thanks. :)

Thanks so much Olivia :) I understand life interfering. Right now I'm trying to juggle a full time job, four kids and writing. Not to mention a husband with knee injury so driving is out for now, and I have to run ALL errands on top of everything else.
Hope your life settles down soon and again thanks!

I'm a complete dolt, sigh. Michele I've been reading your comments for several weeks now about the rain and flooding in St Louis, and it just dawned on me - Hey, that's not too far from where I live.
How sad is that? Anyway I'm in Springfield, well, Illinois, not Missouri. Still we're sort of neighbors.
Well, anyway good luck and I hope the flooding doesn't get out of hand. I remember the big one several years back . . . shudders. Hopefully we won't have to revisit that one.
