I may have found a site for you to investigate :

     http://www.harlequinromanceauthors.blogspot.com/

I'm working on a HR at the moment with a bit of a twist in the plot.  That above site has a lot of info and more site addresses for HR.  Hope this helps.  I have been delinquent myself looking at the site.  maybe they will help.

    Hiya all:

Make room for me on the bench.  Couldn't make my mind until the evening of Sept.15, finally decided why not?  So there I was polishing things up, and at approx 10 p.m. Sept.15/08 I sent my submission out---and received an acknowledgment within 1 min.   Woo hoo.  Then it took me 4 hours to sleep!! :)

Wishing everyone the best of luck in this contest. Laughing

Wayne and everyone.  I know I will be getting the Sony.  I do like to try to keep ahead on Harlequin--I'm a slow reader.  And I'm tired of reading them on my Macbook, though I love the computer.

All of you are so interesting and gave me much food for thought.  You are my role models!!!  Cheers :)

Thanks to all you fantastic Intrigue authors.  This is a great thread and I love the stories about rats etc.  lol

I don't really fear rats, snakes, etc. if they announce they're coming in--"can I come in visit?"...any all I do is squeal once, and then take a second breath and spend some time figuring out how to get it out...etc.  A few men I know are afraid of mice, and one who is totally paranoid about iddy biddy spiders.  Most men don't talk about it (typical) but it shocks me when I find out some of them are afraid of snakes, rats and things.  It's not something men want to talk about.  Love to learn about it though.

I love Alpha males but I don't think I know any real ones.  That's what great about writing, isn't it?  Am I too late to ask all of you authors if your husbands read your books?

    Thanks again.

    Wayne

I forgot to ask you about your Sony reader.  I am so tempted.  I go into the Sony shop in my town and admire it.  Are you enjoying reading with yours?  It seems to me it would be so worth it.

Hi Gals, you are so great at answering my questions BEFORE I can ask them :)

I do like the "Ultimate Hero" idea.  I agree with Dani that the "reluctant man on the street"  can suddenly get the call to save the fair damsel and he jumps to the occasion.  You have given me the best idea

I had asked a few months ago perhaps about does the hero always have to be a lawman or a body guard or a govt. agent to be a hero in an Intrigue story?  At that time I had no particular hero in mind, but I think I may be hearing his voice :)

Julie Miller said that it can be any man who has an important mission to accomplish.  Something like that.

Anyone of you? What do you think?  Sorry it's not possible to read your messages while I'm writing my own message, so that I can remember exactly what you each said.

Cheers to you all, you are great
