Mary - Glad your early 4th went well.  Dessert sounds delicious!

Cady - Hoping, like you, that its just a freak thing.  And enjoy your family reunion.  Growing up, my dad's side use to have one every year.  Now it just never happens.  I really miss that.

Trudy - Good luck with the surgery.  My girls both have/had lazy eyes, no surgery required, just the patch.  I was told a few years back I have early signs of cateracts.  Guessing somewhere down the road I'll end up with surgery (really later I hope). 

So, for once, I had a do nothing weekend.  Was suppose to go to a party on Saturday, but David worked the morning and then didn't feel like going.  Ok with me.  First full weekend at home in months.  Today, David & I went to Great Adventure - without our children - yeah!!!  I got absolutely soaked on the Conga Rapids.  Was still wet hours later when we left (just not as much).  It has been a few years since we've been there, and they took out a buch of rides I liked.  Now its almost all roller coasters and kiddie rides.  I love the coasters, but I like other rides too, so that was a bummer.  Probably won't go back again anytime soon.  If we do, we'd probably just do the water park (which we didn't do today). 

For the 4th, I'm going to an all day bbq.  It will be fun, as usual for their parties.

I just finished reading Family Honor by Robert B. Parker.  Its the first in his Sunny Randall series.  I made the mistake with reading the newest one recently, and now have to catch up.  I really liked it and can't wait to read the rest.  My next book is going to be the new Stephanie Plum.  My mom was telling me a line Lula says about why you need to eat artery clogging food.  I wonder where she thinks of this stuff sometimes  It should be another fun story.  Not sure what I'll read after that.

Yeah, its almost time to wake hubby up.  Hope everyone has a good Tuesday!
