- Kathy,07/01/2008 - 00:57Awww!!! Congratulations!!! Margie :)
- 06/29/2008 - 23:32Hi Everyone, I hope you all enjoyed a good weekend. Kathy, I hope we have not heard from you because you are cuddling your new grandbaby! Kathy K, I don't think I've read a book by AK. I'm pretty sure that I have read an anthology. She is mentioned a lot so I'll have to check her out one day. Mary, Congratulations on being the 15,000 post! I missed that. I hope your BBQ went well. Cady, I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I'm glad that they have at least figured out what the real problem is. I hope you are able to have a good time on your vacation. I still have the LM Presents to read. I just read a really great Presents. It is by Natalie Anderson and it is called HIS MISTRESS BY ARRANGEMENT. I really don't think the name is right but it doesn't matter. The story was so sweet, funny and sexy. I think you would enjoy this one. Donna, I hope you had fun at the theater. I'm sure that you did. I always find it fun to go to those even if it is amature. The smoke here cleared up a lot today. I could see the blue sky when I looked up! I hope things are better where you are. Trudy, I hope your surgery goes well. Maybe you could get some audio books to enjoy until your eyes get better. Jeannie, The fires are near here but not in my town. We do have one in the county and many in surrounding counties that is why we are surrounded by the smoke but today was so much better. Blue sky above even if you could still see it around just not as bad as in the past few days. Since here I did finish THE DESERT LORD'S BRIDE by Olivia Gates and I really enjoyed it. It had a lot of drama for the heroine at the end and I was really in the mood for that. Then I read the book I mentioned to Cady. HIS MISTRESS BY ARRANGEMENT by Natalie Anderson and it was so good. I loved it. Now I am going to start BOUGHT FOR REVENGE, BEDDED FOR PLEASURE by Emma Darcy. Margie :)
- 06/27/2008 - 01:35I am so glad to see Nikki back. I missed that cutie. Margie :)
- 06/27/2008 - 01:32Hi Everyone, Yay, Kathy, almost a Grandma! I hope you are able to make it on time too. Oh, how exciting. I am really happy for you. Nada, Nice to see you back. Wow, Harry sure is a tough guy. God bless him. I hope he is feeling better real soon. Donna, The news here mentioned those fires near you. We only had the dry thunderstoms on Saturday. Thank goodness. Last Friday I could smell that burned campfire smell. Today the smoke is not really smelly but it is thicker then ever. I can't even see the hills around us! Not even the ones only a mile or two away. I hope the wind blows that smoke out of here. I am now reading THE DESERT LORD'S BRIDE by Olivia Gates and it is really good. I finally turned in my overdue book, THE THIRD CIRCLE. It was about two weeks over due and they charged me two dollars and seventy-five cents. So it looks like it was about 20 plus cents a day. I also picked up TWISTED by Andrea Kane since it was ready for me. It looks really good but I will read a couple of short books before starting it. Have a great Friday. Margie :)
- 06/26/2008 - 00:10It's been a few days since I was last here. Been a bit busy with stuff. There have been fires in California for weeks now. Last Saturday dry thunderstorms caused over 1000 fires to start. We are surrounded by smoke. We can't smell it except on windy days. But the air is so hazy that it is not good for the sick and elderly. The hills around us are obscrued by smoke. It's crazy that many towns around here, including mine, are actually allowing fireworks to be sold. We have too many fires and too much dry grass. Everytime I drive one of the back roads, I am looking at the hills all golden brown and hay bundles everywhere. I'm really surprised that those thunderstorms that passed through didn't spark something here. I passed one of the fire station and there were from 20 to 30 firemen laying around outside in the shade. They looked exhausted. I think they are working fires in surrounding cities. Like I said, It's been a busy week for me but I finally finished THE THIRD CIRCLE by Amanda Quick. I really enjoyed this one. If you like the Ghost Hunter books by her as Jayne Castle and you like historicals, then you will enjoy her Arcane Society books by AQ. Now I am reading THE DESERT LORD'S BRIDE by Olivia Gates. Good so far. I hope you all have a good Thursday. Margie :)
- 06/23/2008 - 23:17Hi Everyone, Cady, I am almost finished with THE THIRD CIRCLE. I'm sure I will be done tonight. Now I am curious about how they are done away with. Wow, at first I thought you were going to announce a pregnancy! Sorry you have been ill but that is good that the meds are kicking in. Hope you are fully better real soon. Oh, I got a notice that Twisted by Andrea Kane is ready for me so I'll be reading that soon. Kathy, Any news yet?!!! Well, I'm still reading THE THIRD CIRCLE and I'm almost finished. I am really enjoying it. Hope you all have a good Tuesday. Margie :)
- 06/17/2008 - 23:19Hi Everyone, Cathie, I'm glad you finally found us. It is the new room. I almost forgot to add it to Favorites again. Sandi/Kathy, We get to keep our library book for 3 weeks. If it is a New book, it is not renewable for a while. But if it is not new and it does not have another person with a hold for it, then we can renew for another three weeks. If it is new and no one has a hold you can renew. No charge to renew. Only charge is for late fees. I have had the book one week overdue and I checked today and there is no fine showing yet. I've had other books about a week or two overdue and it has never been more than two dollars for that long. I think it may be .25 cents every few days but I'm not sure. I'll let you know when I get this one back. Cady, It sounds like you had a really nice Father's Day. It is always a relief when test results are good. Glad to hear everything is okay. Kathy D, I'm so sorry to hear more bad news in your community. That is just terrible and I'm sure very hard for you to know what move to make. Just pray for some wisdom in that decision. Keeping this in my prayers. Oh, and hasn't time just flown by. My goodness it seems like you just announced being a grandma to be and now the baby is due. The wait must be killing you. Yum, your dinner sounds great. That is one of my favorite dishes. I'm reading THE THIRD CIRCLE by Amanda Quick and really enjoying it. Margie :)
- 06/15/2008 - 21:03Jeannie, I was wondering why no one was posting in the new What Are You Reading Now. I couldn't find it then I realized that I had not added the new room to favorites. Maybe others are having the same problem. Jillyan, Congratulations on your BDB signing! Since last here, I did finish LOVER ENSHRINED by J.R. Ward and it was excellent. Then I read BARGINING FOR KING'S BABY by Maureen Child and I love that one too. I am now reading book two, MARRYING FOR KING'S MILLIONS and it is a friends book which I love to read. Hope you all have a good Monday. Margie :)
- 06/14/2008 - 10:25Good Morning Everyone, We were having really hot weather but it has cooled off a bit. Yesterday,it actually got really windy in the late afternoon, which is normal for June. Kate, I'm pretty sure you will be freaked by the second SW book if book one was creepy for you. I think Cady may have read these so she may have a different opinion on them. I was bad. I didn't get to my overdue library book. I'm not sure if I will have time to read it now as I am leaving for the rest of the day. Hum? I might just keep it a bit longer. Since last here, I did finish LOVER ENSHIRNED by J.R. Ward and really enjoyed it. Wow! Lots of questions were answered but it also created new ones. I can't wait for the next book. Have a great Saturday. Margie :)
- 06/10/2008 - 22:55Hi Everyone, Sandi, I did decide to stick with the Ward book. Book three was Z's book and I just had to read that one because I wanted him to be happy. I think that one is my favorite and a large part of that is the epilogue. Congratulations on Brian getting through a tough year. Kathy K, I have the new Quick book and it was due back today! My bad. I started Phury's book so the Quick book got pushed back. I will have to pay a late fee but I am keeping it until Saturday. Mary, I've been watching the news and I saw the heat in your area. They were showing that a lot of people are rushing to by AC's. It is really hot here too right now but not humid so that is a bit better. I love Sheri Whitefeathers older Desires. What line is this new book from? I saw that she has a SRS out July and I'm waiting for the discount code to order it. Cady, This weather is really crazy, That is a lot of rain in a short amount of time. I hope you get clear skys real soon. Kate, I am really enjoying the latest Ward. I was very hesitant in reading it only because of something that happened in the previous book. But I'm almost done and it is really great. Intense but great. I read Sheri Whitefeathers Bombshell and I understand why you were creeped so let me warn you that the second one is more creepy so you might want to skip it if the other really bothered you. Tiffany, I have the first book in Nora's series but haven't read it yet. Other books just seem to be calling to me right now but I will be getting to it eventually as I love her books. Well, like I mentioned, I am reading LOVER ENSHRINED by J.R. Ward and it is really engrossing. Lots of stuff happening with lots of different characters but not in a confusing way. Very well done. I hope to finish tonight and get to read the spoiler sections on this one. Have a great Wednesday, Margie :)
