Not impressed by Guanna's and Whinges' mischievements. Nope, not me. I'm not impressed so much that I made sure I got on the dreadmill this moaning, for the first time since all the medi-drama began. Of course, trying on stuff last night that I'm planning to wear in San Fangsister, and finding most of the weight I lost, wasn't a motivating factor, either. However, 1.5 kilometres isn't guano change that situation much, so I'll just be a flabby bat in SF.

Still fwapping for DisGrace nephew and 'rents.

sPam, when is your book out? Will Blunder have copies in SF?

Slosh isn't coming to SF? Well, poop. What if I promise not to mention DTBs even once? ('Cos I don't anyway - no idear why anybat would want one.)

I definitely think it's time for somebat to win the lottery, so Slosh and Guanna and sPam and DisGrace and Aimless and everybat else can make it Bat San Fangsister Domination.

In other gnus, I've ticked a couple of things off my To Do list this moaning. There's still 3 days worth of other items, though, and I'm leaving in 23 hours and 45 minutes.

I went to the hairmesser today, so my hair is all freshly dung for San Fangsister. Now Valkyrie's telling me I have to add extra guano.

The insurents saga continued on today. Got onto somebody different this moaning, who told me that they'd processed my application and sent out a letter on Tuesday. But she couldn't tell me what the letter said. So, I went up to uni to check the PO Box - no letter*. Then went into town to local insurents office, who rang other office and got them to fax letter.... witch basically said P~~~~~  to my application for waiver of exemption. So, I said P~~~~~ to buying their insurents, because I've already got some through the uni.

*but there was a box with 6 more author copies of The Book.

In other gnus, I am not packed, I am not ready yet, and I've still got a heap to do before I leave on Satireday.

Slosh, are you and Mrs Slosh able to make the trek to SF? 'Cos I wanna meet you both. And the other bats what's coming.

Whinges, I saw that gloat about your eldest 'ling. I bet your eyes were even <gack> sparkling when you wrote it.

I don't like headphones, either. In my study, I have speakers I can plug into the craptop, but I don't have them out here in my winter-study, aka the living room. I might have to buy some. Although i can oeprate the CD/DVD player - since the new-fangled fancy one died, we've gone back to the one I can actually use.

BronBat didn't get to phone the insurents people after 4pm because she had a long phone call from a depressed sibling that took so much emotional energy she forgotted to phone before 5pm.

Nor has she finished the character profiles, lurkshop notes, author questions and heaps of other things she was supposed to finish this afternoon.

Now she is seriously contemplating having a bath and going to bed early, since her brain is fried.

But she did manage to make a <gack> decent dinner this evening, even though she put the wrong sauce in the stir-fry chicken.

Guanna, a cane doesn't cost as much as  kitten to feed, and won't have vet bills or steal the best spot on the bed.

Valkyrie, I'm nowhere near actually starting oacking yet, although I do have A List. The suitcase is on the bedroom floor, with a few things dumped in it, but definitely not in any organised fashion.

And I've still got a heap of things to do before I go (including my BAS). Trouble is, I currently have the concentration span of a dead gnat.  And the gnat wants it back.

And I have no clue what else I wuz guano say.

Oh, except keeping claws crossed that sPam's book becomes a best-smeller.

...for DisGrace nephew and his parents, for sPam and sTony, fo Aimless speed dating, and anybat else I missed.

There's a Hippo in the Cave. About time.

    In other gnus..... AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!

Handed in an application for medical clearance form for pre-existing condition for travel insurance over two flocking weaks ago.  Guy at fund faxed it to Brisbane office - who then posted it back to me a few days later, because I had missed filling in a couple of boxes. Did they telephone me to ask me about my age, height and weight? No. They posted back the form, witch took 3 days to get here. It arrived last Thursday afternoon, and I got Boredom to post it back Express Post on Fryday. It should have been there Moanday. I phoned yesterday (Tuesday here), no sign of form. I phoned just now - they haven't opened today's mail yet, could I phone back at 4pm. Aaarrrrggghhhhhh. Have I mentioned that I'm leaving on Satireday? And today's Wednesday?

Awwww. A kangaroo wif a little joey in its pouch was just up close to the house, peering in through the sunroom window, for several minuets.

Fortunately, the hounds did not see or hear it, and are still snoozling in their baskets, because otherwise they would have got all hexcited, and two hexcited hounds in one small house is not fun.

But the 'roo and the ickle joey were uncavily cute.

You could warm yourself with the glow from The Book.

I am NOT setting fire to The Book.

Witch reminds me that I need to go and collect some more kindling. So I can have a non-book-fuelled glow in the stove.

I'm doing assorted stuff to organise myself for going away.

Not to mention occasionally staring at The Book.

It's also cold again today, even though the sun is shining. I guess I'll just have to eat more chocorat to warm myself up.

The Book has, indeed, arrived. It is, indeed, a thing of booty. It's got words in it, too. And an ack-no-lodgements page that mutters something about bats.

Pity that they got the awthor photos confuzzled and put in some pickcha of a so-fisticated bat with makeup and stuff that doesn't look at all like me.
