Hi Friends,
Sandi, glad you left the panyhose behind, you will be much more comfortable! Always a good thing in my book.
Yes, Drive Me Crazy is about a librarian. Loved the book! I'm curious as to who you recommended to Nancy.
Mary, our local library is having a book sale today. I might wonder down there in a bit to see if there is anything I want/need! Need books, hardly but you know how that is!!
Cady, glad to hear you liked the Nora. I just started a Suzanne Brockmann that is now out in paperback. I'm already hooked!
Last night I stayed up late finishing up Drive Me Crazy because I couldn't seem to put it down & for once I wasn't fighting to keep my eyes open!! It was very good. A well done mix of suspense, romance, humor and a storyline that keep me turning pages. As I mentioned above I'm now reading Suzanne Brockmann's newest paperback release Force of Nature and it already has me pulled in!
Have a good weekend all. I must get busy & before it gets to warm I think I will walk down to the library sale & the store, then I have to do my usual Saturday chores!!

Jill, there was/is a HEA. I hope that Sam & Sara show up in the other firefighter stories that will give us an idea of what happened after Sara got smart and opened up to Sam. The last two chapters seemed a bit rushed but I think this is more a short story form than a book. I'm looking forward to reading Flashpoint & Flashback.

Wow, Thursday already! Hi Friends,
Cady, so glad to hear your vacation was good. I wouldn't object to a vacation in that area! I wouldn't object to a real vacation. Vacations when you have children rarely give you any down time! I loved being around my folks because I never had to worry about the kids then, they spent most of the time with Grammas & Pa (their names for my parents). It was a treat for me. I saw Nora's new book the other day but didn't pick it up to look as it was the hard cover!
Amanda, I'm so sorry to hear about friends passing away so young. It is such a shock. My son-in-law had a very mild heart attack at 35 & that was scary enough.
Mary, I'm a Merline Lovelace fan also. Her military romances have such a real feeling due to her service in the Air Force. Glad you enjoyed the party, it is always fun to meet new people.
Tiffany, good luck with your Master's program. The end result will be worth it.
I hope you find time once in awhile for some reading just for pleasure. You have to take a break once in awhile!
Hi Margie! I'm so glad it cooled down! I'm loving it. I can't imagine no AC in my car now! That said, I have no AC at home not even a fan & when it is up in the triple digits it gets brutal! So far I have survived. I just pray for fog!!
Trudy, glad your second surgery went okay. Take care with your recovery. I'm sure you will enjoy seeing clearly again.
Last night I finished reading an Extreme Blaze, A Sexy Time of It by Cara Summers. It was an interesting concept, a physic time traveler, a cop from the future, a group of seniors called the Armchair Detectives & mind sex! Oh yea, Jack the Ripper in three different era's. Intrigued, read the book & check out my review on the Challenge! This morning I picked up Drive Me Crazy by Nancy Warren to read. This has been in my TBR pile for quite some time. I've only read a few pages but so far so good.
Have a good rest of the day.

Where is everyone?
Here is a puzzle. I just received my August Blaze books today but have never received the July ones! Wonder where they are? I have to call customer service as there are some books I must read!
Last night I finished reading A Sexy Time of It by Cara Summers, an Extreme Blaze. What makes an Extreme Blaze? This book has some unusual elements, a physic time traveler, a cop from the future, Jack the Ripper from 3 different time periods--sound interesting/intriguing, oh yea, mind sex--read the book!

When sonograms first came into being which allowed people to find out the sex of their baby I was "no"! Now, I would find out just so clothes, nursery, etc. could be planned. Neither of my daughters knew what they were having. With my oldest I just knew it was a boy & it turned out I was right (he is now 12!) when she was pregnant with her second I couldn't get a feeling for what she was having but knew it was my last chance for a granddaughter which I wanted so bad! Lucky me, my daughter was blessed with a little girl (she will be 10 next month) and I was thrilled. However, the important part was a healthy baby & she had had some complications & I would have been thrilled with another grandson.
New Hampshire seems like it would be a wonderful place to visit but so would almost anywhere here in the US. I think no matter where you go there is something to see, learn and always some unexpected surprises. The furthest east I have ever been is Michigan and I only saw a small part of the more southern part. It is where my ex is from & we went to visit family. Glad we got to go there once but I wish we could have seen a lot more of the state. Since I have always lived on the west coast that is where I have done the most traveling.

Tomorrow is the last chapter, oh no!!!
There were two chapters for me today because I didn't make it here yesterday.
Both Sara & Sam need to speak up and put their feelings on the line which can be a real scary prospect. Since Sara already broke his heart he doesn't want to let that happen again & Sara needs to tell Sam her feelings! I just know Jill will make it all come out all right for both of them. Please Jill, pretty please!
See you all tomorrow for the grand finale!

Please don't hurt Sam. Sam, please don't withdraw give Sara a chance to say more.
People, they won't get sick from the cold because this is fiction!!! Just enjoy the story.
Great job, Jill. What's next? I can't wait until tomorrow, you are leaving us in a spot that will bring us back tomorrow!!!
We are facing the end of this story, darn!!

Hi Friends,
Sandi, are you crazy ! Pantyhose in the summer! Never! Can't even remember the last time I wore them!! Good luck with that. Sorry to hear Brian didn't do so well but experience is always a plus. My reaction to someone offering one of my TBR books would be just like yours---"NO, not that one!"
Really I wouldn't yell!!
Kathy D, I hope your son manages to sell his house soon. It is hard having family live away but you do get used to it. My daughter & her family are in the next state and I wouldn't want them to do anything that isn't good for them. They really can't afford to come back to this area & that is just the way it is! With today's technology it doesn't seem so bad. I'm looking forward to seeing the grandkids, they just keep growing. Nick is almost as tall as I am & Delaney is getting taller also! Funny how they do that!! I'm on the short side (5 ft. 1 in.) so it doesn't take much!!
Someone asked about my favorite Nora books, there are many! Her series when she was writing for Silhouette is what hooked me on her! My favorites are The Donovan Legacy, The MacGregor's, The MacKades all books I can read again & again. When she started writing mainstream books I love Honest Illusions, Montana Sky, The Chesapeake Bay saga to name a few. One shelf of my "keeper" bookcase is all Nora books!! The lady has talent and keeps getting better.
Speaking of Nora, I finished reading With Open Arms issued in 2004, which was actually two of her early books issued in one volumn. The books are: Song of the West, 1982 & Her Mother's Keeper, 1983. They are a bit outdated but overall still enjoyable. There is a little to much conflict between the couples for my taste.
I must go accomplish something!! Lunch for starters!!
Have a good Monday.

Just stopping in to see what is new in the Bunker.
Cathy, how fun to help someone plan their wedding. I just saw something on The View about a new "reality" program that is going to start called "Rock the Reception" where the bride & groom learn to dance & really put on a show. It is going to be on TLC (I think)! I don't get that channel but it looked like it might be fun to watch. I am a big fan of Dancing with the Stars & I think this idea kind of came about from that & some UTube videos!! Sorry, I digress!!
Beth, hope all is going well with Nathan/Natalie. When I was having babies we had no choice but to wait to see what we were blessed with! My hope is always that there is a healthy baby.
They are such little angels.
- 07/14/2008 - 13:56Those two seem to be more than matched physically. Can't wait to find out why Sara left like she did five years ago. I'm looking forward to how Jill concludes this story.
