- Hi Clarisa!07/24/2008 - 17:54
Congratulations on your revisions! That's just wonderful - fingers crossed this is the one for you - being able to get ed input on your mss is marvellous :)
Its cool about the 'Feel the Heat' competition huh - I know what you mean about the waiting (and it NEVER gets any easier) - so its a great opp to get some feedback quicksmart!
- 07/24/2008 - 17:49That's brilliant!

Nice to see you here :) - Yes, its a bit confusing - maybe we could ask TPTB to change the name of the thread to Modern Heat (is it possible Wayne?)
We're a quiet bunch in here but I'm willing to change that if you are Mulberry! And we've been pretty busy - gearing up now for the big conferences and crossing fingers that our three Mod Heat finalists (Kelly Hunter and Heidi Rice in the RITAS and Anne Oliver in Australasia's R*BY ) will bring home the gongs! And the 'Feel the Heat' competition is awesome isn't it!!! Have you got an entry ready to go or are you starting a new one specially??? I think there'll be some more (hopefully) useful/entertaining bits about MH up on the i(heart) presents blog soon and don't forget to check www.sensationalromance.blogspot.com for what are the latest MH releases in your area - and if you've any questions that an author might be able to help with you can always ask here! I know most of us pop by here - even if we're just lurking ;)
And Wayne - one of the things love most about Mod Heat is the touch of humour (love that flirty, fun stuff) and I also like that the stories are all so different - I think there's a wide variety of 'voices' within the MH ranks and that's wonderful!
Best wishes,
Natalie

... for a mo to high-five Christyne - have just been to your party but repeating it here - congrats!!!
Welcome to Nikki - lovely lot in here you know :)
And huge, huge hugs to you Sue - sooooo close and I can feel that pain - but you'll get there, you will, you will - you have them believing in you and that's awesome. Crossing everything this next one is the one for you and we'll have another party sooner rather than later!
Best wishes, Natalie

Christyne!!!! I'm sorry I'm a little late to the party (illness in the house - yeuch) - but hey, let me wheel in another case of the bubbly stuff. Wonderful news - enjoy the moment - it's the first of many fabulous firsts you know!!!
Have fun!

huge hugs Lauren - that is such a fabulous R - one of the best I've ever heard of - but it still hurts a LOT - loads of choccie and totty headed your way. You know you'll get there - let this just fire your drive more....
Good luck with those revisions Clarissa - take a deep breath and attack it piece by piece!

I'm there for just over a week - I know ridiculous to fly all that way for such a short time - but I just can't leave the other 2 kidlets for any longer...

... of all the Nationals talk!!! Hmmm... wonder if I can swing New York - when is that one?!!??!! Needs to be far enough away for the twins to be old enough to be left AT HOME...
But I can't complain too much because I'm going to London this year in Sept - and will be going to AMBA - are you going to that this year Trish?? Please PLEASE say yes!!! And congrats on the Booksellers finals - and why won't it be you getting the prize hmmm???!!!! Its a FABULOUS book :)
I totally go with your take on MH - the book I'm currently working on has a Google-style hero - totally modelled on a Kiwi guy who made KAZILLIONS doing cool net surfy stuff - not GEEKY mind (working hard to avoid that trap!)... and there's gotta be a bit of that take-charge type alpha action too...
Right. Hope you had to wait ages at the doc Kim and got to read all of Anne's book! ;)

... one of my personal faves is Kelly Hunters 'Wife for a Week' - it was one of the very first in the line and made me giggle so hard - but at the same time was really sweet. Kelly writes awesome books...
I always thought the 'extra' in Modern Extra was short for extra sensual - but who knows... I think its all about the tone that makes them different from straight Modern/Presents...

absolutely Wayne ;)
so what should we chat about?!
