It's not a romantic suspense Gail, it is a contemporary, multicultural romance.  But you never know, I may try my hand at a suspense one of these days.

Like you, I am a compulsive perfectionist--which is why I have been actively writing and editing chapter 1 since January of this year,  But after listening to the same advice from multiple sources, I learned to silence my inner editor.  (She is very critical and overbearing, and it is nearly impossible to please her.   )

I am currently taking a workshop, and through my submissions, I have learned that if I just write my scenes, then go back over them with my self-edit list, I really produce some good stuff.  I had so many doubts about my own abilities, but I have gotten some wonderful, honest feedback of my work.  I know that everyone's opinion is subjective, but it boosted my confidence a bit and gave me the confidence to tell Ms. Inner Editor to shut it- LOL.

Hey all, I just finished writing my very first chapter of my very first WIP!!  I am soo excited about this, because this had been a struggle for me.

I have had this idea floating around in my head for 3 years, and I finally committed to actually writing around January of this year.  Well, I hit a few few roadblocks in the form of self doubt and fear; but hey, I blew past those puppies .

Ok, back to the subject at hand, I like the SRS line because of the marriage of suspense, adventure, and romance.  Again, I just started reading SRS with Gail's Heart of a Thief, but I know count myself a fan of this line.  And nothing gets the heart going faster than a hot guy who can get his lady safely out of harm, right

Thanks to you all for your encouraging support.  AlwaysWrite, you are soo correct; getting started was the hardest part for me.  All the self doubt and fear had to be overcome, but now that I have jumped over that first hurdle, there is not stopping me now.

Hi all, I just wanted to pop in and say hi.  It's been a while, but it's hard finding time to pop up for air.  But I wanted to share my good news, I finished my first chapter on my very first WIP!!  I am soo excited!!

I have been working on my story since last year, and I finally decided to sit down and "write" it this year, but I got overwhelmed with trying to find my way..  But after taking a couple of really good workshops, I told my inner editor to shut it, and I cranked out my first chapter .

Now, one down and only 14 more to go!!

 

 

I had lots of fun with the chat.  I was a bit lively, wasn't it .  I think that was the funnest (is that even a word???) one I have been on so far.

Hope to see everyone next month as well.

Ok, I went to the book store today and picked up Just Desserts today (who-hoo). 

But I must admit, I am feeling a little stupid, I had not heard about the Three Mrs. Foster's series (before you ask, yes I have been living under a rock lately-lol)

Can someone give me a quick rundown on the other books in this series so I can go out an get them?

HI all, i am working hard on my first book, but decided to stop in to say hi.  I had to take a break, I feel like I am pulling teeth with this darn chapter, and It's chapter 1- lol.

ok, I finally let myself go to the bookstore (yes, I have to  strictly manage the number of trips I take ).  But I was walking past the SRS rack and I picked up Dangerous to Touch. 

Wow Jill, I am digging the cover, dude is hot.  He reminds me a bit of the Antonio character from One Life to Live.  HOT!!!

Ok ladies, I really have to watch myself with the SRS rack, i wanted to take home all of them, but alas, I will be back for more.

Ok, all, I finished Heart of a Thief tonight; it was excellent, I highly reccomend it to all.  I am now such a fan of SRS; I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on my next SRS read.
