What a great start to the story. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Nada- I am so happy to hear Harry's good news. i will continue to keep him in my prayers
Sandi- Blue eyed Devil follows on from sugger Daddy and involves the same characters. I am wondering if she will do the other two brothers as well. I loved Blue eyed Devil more than Suger Daddy. For me the romance didn't start until half way through. If you read the two novels back to back as I did then you get one full novel. (in my opinion.)
I've read all of Susan Elizabeth Phillips football novels and just love them, Ain't she sweet also refers to the books written by one of the heroines in the football series.
I went out shopping today to try to find the Unexpected Millionaire by Susan Mallery and Raintree Haunted by Linda Winstead Jones. In both cases I have the first and the last in the trilogy and don't want to start reading until I have the set. Instead I have Yellow baby wool ( from a discount shop) and various baby outfits and baby carrier which fits on your back (from the charity shops).
I hope that the rest of the week is good for all of you.

Hi everyone.
Sandi- the snow was gone by mid-day
Nada- I live in Dorset just by the sea and it hardly ever snows there. I used to live in Kent and it was much worse there and lasted longer.
Saphire-I have two dalmations at the moment, Gemmima is 8 and is sitting beside me as I type, Oscar is 5 and unfortunately developed epilepsy when he was 21/2. They were both adopted but from good homes. Our first dalmation was penny who lived until 14 we also adopted her( my daughter had originally wanted a Westie) a bit different. Once when we on holiday we went to a carnival and the local Primary school were doing 101 Dalmations. When they saw her they went mad. The local press took a picture and published it under the heqding 101 dalmations meet the real one. She then marched down the High street as part of the carnicval. Do you get the wags who ask " where are the other 100" or the kids that rush up and hug your dog?
They are real characters and no scrap of food is safe!
Cady - I hope that the biting has stopped. I think taht it is something that most children do.
At the moment I am reading a Susan Mallery Sweet Success. I wanted to read her Millionaire trilogy in Desirebut can't find the middle one The unexpected Millionaire. I've also got 'Women who think too much' to dip into and the same applies to Change Your life in 7 days by Paul McKenna.
Obviously I'm still on a self help kick.
I've also knitted 4 pairs of Mary Janes in two different sizes but lost one shoe and had to knit an extra! I've still to sew them up which is the bit I hate.
Hope everyone has a restful weekend. Janet

Hi Everyone
Yesterday we had the first snow of the year. It lasted all of a couple of hours! Our two Dalmations were really puzzled, especially Oscar who is four and had never seen snow before.
Sandi- I am so sorry about your sonn's accident, I hope that the insurance sorts itself out.
We used to have to lend our car to our son Oliver. The first time he went to meet his girlfriends parents he was so intent on waving goodbye that he ran into the back of her mums car! The mums car was fine but ours had to towed away and have some major wook done mechanically.
I think that schools put a lot of pressure on young people today, in a world with more and more subjects to learn we seem to expect them to know it all and in far less time than we had.
I have just finished Linda Kleypas Blue Eyed Devil and if you enjoyed Sugger Daddy then in my opinion you will love this book. I found it very moving, and learnt a thing or two along the way. I hope that she writes stories for the two other brothers.
I've been busy knitting little Mary Jane shoes for the baby my daughter is expecting and also for my friends daughter who is expecting her baby a week later.
I do hope that everyone is keeping well or feeling better.
I'd like to wish everyone a good week Janet

Hi Everyone.
Sandi I hope that things get better with Brian soon. You really do have my heart felt sympathy.
I have recently read Sizzle and Burn by JAK and really enjoyed it, but I really do wish that sometimes she could write a good old fashioned love story as well.
I've just finished Suger Daddy and have begun Blue eyed Devil. I just love them.
A quick tip. You can watch all of the BBC programmes for the previous week on BBCi player which means that the costume dramas etc are all available to watch as they are broadcast. ITV who did the most recent batch of Jane Austin are doing something similar.
Have a great weekend. Janet

Hi everyone
just caught up on all the posts.
Hope everyone had a happy Easter. My dd Emma came over from Jersey and I guessed that she had news to give. She is expecting a baby on 23rd September which is great news. Unfortunately she is still really bitter about me( you could just feel it) and although I did just about everything she wanted it didn't change anything. It doesn't help that her dad is fanning the flames like mad. I didn't realise how much motherhood could hurt.
Sorry to be so negative.
Petrol over in the UK petrol has shot up too. Unleaded is now a minimum od £1.06 a litre thats around £5.00 a gallon or about $10.00. Deisel is at least £1.14 a litre.
Have read the Prince trilogy (leopard, snake = 1) and Mouth to mouth by Erin McCarthy all of which I really enjoyed. Now I'm onto Sizzle and Burn By JAK. I also read Sandra Browns last which had such divided reviews. I really liked it but felt I wanted a bit more of an ending
Over here Winter decided to come at Easter with really cold weather and some snow (although where I live it didn't settle) It was sad for the holiday makers who came for some days by the sea. I think that Easter is one of my favourites with the beautiful flowers and all the messages of new life and optimism.
Hope everyone has a great week. Janet

I love Susan Anderson's books, but as yet have not been able to get coming undone over here.
I'm really depressed at the moment, both my birthday and Mothers day were pretty awful because of family problems. Thank God for my ds.
I'm reading two books by a new to me author at the moment One is called Decent Exposure and is set in the Lake district. A bit like callender Grils but with men. There's a lot of humour-just what the doctor ordered.
Hope everyone has a good week. Janet

Sandi- it's surprising how many people get a taste of life before they get their higher exams. My friends daughter started a teaching degree this academic year after 6 years as a classroom assistant. Theres a couple of courses I'm considereing but unless I use them to do private work It looks unlikely that I will get employment in teaching.
Tomorrow is my birthday and over here once you hit your fifties you only have a 10% chance of finding employment. I applied for a classroom assistants job last term doing the same job I did as a special needs teacher but for a third of the pay. I didn't even get an interview and someone pointed out that unofficially they dodn't take on people over fifty. What a waste!
Womens retirement rises to 65 in 2015 and so I will have to work until 62 years 10 months as the transition takes place.
I've been re-reading some original Linda Howard books.
The four books linked to Kell Sabin and another one, the title of which slips my memory.
The weather here is still Spring like, with all the daffodils that usually come out at the end of March in full bloom. It's a pitty because daffodils and Easter always go together in my mind.
I hope that you all had a lovely weekend and that the week will be kind to you. Janet

Nada- at the top of the page, just before the messages begin there are two boxes. The left side one says add a comment, the right one should read (for you) add to favourites. Click that and you should be set up again.
Thank you for your good wishes. I think that dh is slowly improving as for dd only time will heal.
I find you such an inspiration, you really are one couragious lady and my prayers are with you and your family.
Talking of dogs my dalmation Oscar has learnt how to stretch himself to reach the top of the microwave where I put my sons sandwiches ready for the morning. This is the second time he's got them. My dh rescued them half eaten and thought that ds could still have them!!!!LOL. Men!
I've just re-read Midnight rainbow and Diamond Bay by Linda Howard have already re-read White Lies. Wish she would write some more of those good old fashioned romances.
Hope all is well with everyone. Janet
