I would look at entering a contest one of the SH editors is judging. That's a great suggestion, Marta.

Anita Mae, chocolates and conferences go hand and hand. That is so neat about Trish Perry. I'm working with an author I don't know. It will be nice getting to know him.

Megan, that story sounds very interesting. I wish you the bless and good luck with submitting.

Marta, I hope your family is okay in the Carolinas. I'm worried about Ike. There's a good chance that hurricane will go into the Gulf. It's already a 4.

Dream, I haven't heard of paying for a library card either.

I'm so thankful Gustav wasn't as bad as it could have been. I was so afraid it would be a repeat of Katrina.

    Praying for your requests.

Ila, it really all depends on my time. I have to ditto what Brenda said. I love helping but that is limited by time constraints. For instance in a couple of weeks I will be subbing long term again in a special ed class at the school I worked at. That will really cut into my time--working two jobs.

I hope you get the job, Camy.

Welcome, Megan. What kind of stories do you write?

    Welcome back, Rhonda.

Marta, I loved Nancy Drew books. No wonder I write mystery and suspense.

It's nice to see you here, Lyn.

I know what you mean. Traveling was never easy but nowadays it is awful.

I will be praying for everyone in Gustov's path. Maybe it will die down or hit an isolated part of the coast.

Hope, I hope you don't find anymore of them. We were on vacation once and my husband had put his shorts on the floor (a big mistake). He went to put them on and a scorpion dropped out of them and scurried away.

Beckie, I'm so glad you found the papers.
