Good luck with the scheduled speechwriting and thanks for bringing David Tenant in to visit.
The parental visit is ending this weekend so I'm hoping to get a bit back on schedule myself, that said we'll be splitting our time between London and Whitstable, and having various kiddie and Mummy sleep overs which will be enough to inject some real chaos into my life.

3 kilos is great! I basically lost nearly four kilos in one week when I went on a major detox thing, stopped breastfeeding etc. but the progress has been slow since.
I've been doing gardening work today which I agree is great for burning the calories. I also went to one of those running shops where they video you running and analyse the shoe you need. I have low arches so it was fabulous and I love the shoes they recommended. I've even started running outside now, where as before I detested running anywhere but on a treadmill which was softer on my feet.

...well the wine is the downfall for me Biddy. Once I have a glass the productive instincts falter. Have been researching school holiday excurcions on line instead.
For all those in London went to a fabulous exhibition today, Psycho Buildings at The Hayward on the Southbank, they actually have a boating lake suspended three stories high! Great for kids as well as adults.

I'm sad and working on a Saturday night. The shops aren't open now are they, so why not join me?
I was trying to have a wine free week, but ...
1. I'm alone
2. On Saturday night
3. I'm already being good and writing tonight
4. And I have a love scene to do
5. And I've lost six kilograms in six weeks
... so I'll feel no guilt in polishing off the open bottle of Pinot Grigio which has been singing to me the last few nights. (Or I do feel guilty which is why I have to justify it so thoroughly)

A big downfall of private schools is the extra long holidays they have - great for the teachers, but not the parents. Donna your holiday schedule sounds like bliss, I reckon we have nearly five months of holidays. And just as we feel brave enough to go away with the baby looks like all the school holiday slots are booked up for the next six months.
Biddy that's great news on your revisions on revisions. Good luck nailing them!
Michelle, a rubber band ball is a great idea. Think we'll make one of those after lunch.
Thank God we're meeting friends in the park this afternoon as I think I'm going kid crazy... and lucky dh is away at the cricket all weekend.

A dip in the pool sounds fab. Do you have one in your new house? Lucky you.
Ten days into school holidays and I'm finding all kinds of things to amuse us... for now. Today we got out a box of rubber bands and tied them together. What fun!
Never mind that the rubber bands were intended for the ms I'm hoping to send out to the New Writers Scheme, although the date is moving further away due to such extra curricular activities.

Donna, lol.
I think the thought of JN has got us all a bit hot under the collar... Angel you might have competition after all.

I remember someone blogged about JN, on the PHS I think, and said that they knew someone in the film business who claimed he was the only man who made the entire female staff swoon when he came into the office. He sounds very charming as well as lovely looking. Don't think he's spoken for so he's all yours Angel.
I shall be watching out for Spooks.
