- Off to a great start!09/22/2008 - 09:11Fascinating first chapter. I can't wait to see all the problems Jeff is probably going to unleash. What a perfect story to usher in the Halloween season.

Wow! The comments on here have really made the last 5 weeks special to me. I am so thrilled that you all liked Chris and Ashley's story. They were a pleasure to write about.
Oh, and for the person who asked about a listing of the Tiny Blessings books, those are probably out of print but I can get you a list if you're interested in hunting them up. Email me at linda@lindagoodnight.com
Have a great weekend!

How's that for a grabber heading? I haven't visited too many places I'd call 'romantic' but I loved the pre-Katrina New Orleans area, especially the southern plantations. Since the hurricane, I've often wondered if Oak Alley is still there. It's so gorgeous and the perfect spot for a wedding and honeymoon.
No UFOs though......

Well, I must be the only one who hasn't watched Enchanted. What is wrong with me?! LOL
In a book I just finished, I have a wedding in the Dallas Arboretum. I actually used an online video of a wedding that was held there for reference. Anyone ever been there?

So true, Myrna. I've noticed in the weddings in my books that the weather is always perfect--even in Dallas or up on a mountain. My, I am magic, aren't I? LOL
Okay, folks, come on. Give us your outdoor wedding story.

I went to an outdoor wedding on July 4--in Oklahoma, no less. The term 'hotter than the Fourth of July" must have been coined here in Oklahoma. Sweat dripped off everyone and I have never seen so much punch disappear so fast in my life. I truly felt sorry for the bride and groom who had really thought ahead to how bad the heat is in mid-summer.
Ruined me on the concept of outdoor weddings--though I keep putting them in my books! LOL

Hi Liz!!
My Big Fat Greek Wedding! I'd forgotten that one and I love it. The dad with his Windex spray bottle just cracks me up every time. There's something so reassuring about a big, noisy, pushy family that over-loves the ugly duckling. What a great movie.
Have to share something funny: My children say the parents in Sweet Home Alabama are just like my husband and me. I'm not sure if that's an insult or a compliment! LOL! But like the redhaired southern mom, I will fry something and feed you if you come over. <g>

Yes, Father of the Bride, The Runaway Bride, The Wedding Planner (hmm, does that sound familiar?) are both great. I actually own The Wedding Planner.
Even though it is not a wedding move per se, SWEET HOME ALABAMA has a wedding in it. I love that movie. And Reese Weatherspoon was the model for my heroine in WINNING THE SINGLE MOM'S HEART, so that makes it extra special.
Thanks to Liz and Rae for the RITA congrats. I'm still spinniing!

Sorry for talking about this on the WEDDING PLANNERS blog. I got carried away. Now back to weddings!!!
Anyone have a favorite wedding movie?

Oh my goodness, I have so much to say. First, Sheandeen, I love the way you put thosenames together. So, so cool.
As for my characters, Reese Witherspoon was my 'model' for Natalie, the cake fairy. And the Olsen twins when they were small were the models for my twins, Rose and LIly. Today I received the UK hardback versions of the book in the mail. Very excting.
Now for my really exciting day. If you noticed the heading and know what that is, here is the scoop. One of my books, A TOUCH OF GRACE, is nominated for a RITA, the 'academy award' of romance writers. I am beside myself with happiness.
