Hi all!  Congrats Kim on the scholarship -- I won one the year I went to my first conference too. I'm not sure which was more thrilling - going to the conference or having Teresa Mediros call me in person to tell me. Have a great time Kim!

We just found out that the person stomping on my bladder is a girl! So, I've been reading your posts about raising girls with great interest. I won't lie -- I'm a little nervous about those teen years. And if I'm a little nervous my husband is freaking out!

Hey you guys are so busy -- thanks so much for the congrats. RT was a fun experience - mostly because I got to see Holly and I do think we will take our show on the road --- "The Holly and Molly Show." We just need to figure out what to show -

I got in this little fender bender today -- really little but the husband of the woman who hit me - and she hit me - called to try and make me feel like it was "both our faults." And I hate confrontation. I hate it. But I stuck up for myself - made sure he knew it wasn't my fault at all and we finally ended up laughing - but I have thought about this all day.  Did his wife twist the story? Was it just his effort to get out of anything (we're not doing anything about the damages anyway because they were stupidly stupidly minor0? Is it just because he's a man? And why do I have so much trouble sticking up for myself? Is this something you have problems with - I know some of you don't at all. But this was a real eye-opener for me that I've gotten to some incredibly strange passive aggressive state  that I actually felt bad that she hit me??!! Crazy.

Well, I guess I'm using this board as therapy today. Beautiful day today - going for a walk

It's finally srping in the northland - for sure!! We all have sunburned faces to prove it. I am actually blogging about romance and spring over at www.thedebutanteball.com- and would .love some romance advocates! If anyone has a minute.

COngrats tasha on gettng the draft done and I agree - you can be my "finished the book catererer" too! Cadbury eggs, Shirley Temples and volcano cake! I love it.

We're finally not sick anymore - we had the stomach flu and the other flu combine -- yesterday everytime my son had a coughing fit he'd poop.  He thought this was hilarious - proving without a doubt he's his father's son. It had to be one of the strangest motherhood days of my life.

I've taken a long break from writing - such burnout trying to write fast. So, I took a week off and am going to take this week off as my husband and I are on VACATION!! Three days in boston!! In a king size bed! Oh - the luxury!

Wow - miss a few days and you guys go nuts. My son, the carrier, brought a strain of flu into our home that just knocked us flat. Sickest I have been in eons. However, got caught up on my battlestar DVD's (anyone? BSG junkies??? Best show on TV) and read some great books.

Jeannie I am so sorry to hear about your daughter? Where does she live?

Kay I've learned where and when to stop talking story with my husband. He's great at big picture terrible at small stuff and if I keep going with him I get the jump off the ledge attitude too. That is why I have my CP's. They love the details - like all of us do.

Ellen! I love that you are having an affair with you latest book! That is exactly how it feels when it's going well -- can't stop thinking about it, can't wait to get back to it, sorry to leave it. hmmm...let me state for the record I do not know what an affair feels like...

Tasha - I agree with everyone else - if you two well prepared pitches, my guess is you'll actually have the time to do both. And won't that be great!!

Holly! Good to see you! You going to RT? Can we catch up? Anyone else at RT? How about New England this weekend? Christyne - I think I saw your post. Anyway - back to life...

.....wait a second....that didn't come out right at all.  I've conquered my Staples addiction and it wasn't easy. My downfall ended up being paperclips - the 30,000 paperclips I had to throw away once my toddler knocked them over and started putting them in his mouth. I haven't gotten a new pen in months.

Rae - that's such a hard situation and it's got to be so hard to know what's right - but it sounds like your heart lead you in the right direction.

I'm sorry, I need to go back through the posts to find out who is trying to muscle through Outlander? Ellen? Amy? Anyway - keep going, it get's so amazing. The second book I couldn't get through, but the first one is worth it.

Congrats to all of you getting work done...I wish I could say the same.

Kathleen is one of my very favorite series authors. She manages to get so much character and so much emotion in a pretty tight word count. I would recommend anything by her no matter what the back blurb says.

Jeannie - I love your assessment on classes. I was a sub for a bunch of years and it is really remarkable what the chemistry of a classroom allows a person to accomplish.

Saw Run Fat Boy Run tonight - oh! Husband and I laughed till we cried.

How fun it must be to live in a college town that gets the Final Four Fever! Must be a blast - Amy! My son was born at the perfect time twoyears ago and I got to just sit on the couch and watch cinderella story college athletics all day long. I cried a lot.  We're all sick here - fever and coughs. A delight.

You want to talk about swimsuits? I will be eight months pregnant in August. I'm not little to begin with -- I will look like a skirted, lycrad whale.  I will not ever be looking in mirrors.

Sorry to hear about the rejection Rhonda - I agree, conflict is a big deal with Supers right now and I think all of us are struggling to find the right balance -- but you got the internal down - that's more than half the battle I think.

Have a great conference, conference-goers. I'm with you Ellen - conferences are now a vacation for me. Adult conversation, a big bed to myself, hot cups of coffee I can actually finish -- wow. Dreamy.

We're about to buy a Mac for our household computer for the first time - leaving our Dell behind. I have a Dell laptop that I do all my writing on but our desktop is mostly for pictures, internet and music. Andconsidering how cool those Apple's are and I only really want to be cool.....

Tasha! Thanks! You make my week! Glad you liked Max and my big suprise.  Glad you survived Kite flying --  I am suddenly really homesick for Rochelle - something about Spring maybe? Makes me want to see my Momma.

Sam - I am inspired by you too - you get a lot done in a day!! Which reminds me ...
