- Werefan... yeah... how05/16/2008 - 15:46
Werefan... yeah... how the hell are they going to get Dean out of hell? Is Sam heading in there to drag him back out? Sam won't leave Dean in hell, he can't. :(
MickiB... I loved Charmed, I loved the world of the Charmed Ones. I absolutely adored Julian McMahon's character of COLE... mmmm... I mourned him ever since he died (the final time) and kept hoping his character would be brought back, all the way through seasons five, six, seven, and eight. *grin* Curse Nip/Tuck for offering Julian McMahon his own show and luring him away! Phoebe/Cole forever.
And FYI about "Charmed".... Holly Marie Combs has pitched an idea for a spin off.... and though it looks like the CW aren't considering it, other networks are looking into it. So hey... maybe the Charmed story will continue in some form? It's possible....
About shows this year... that darn strike killed tv. I haven't been able to get back into the swing of things yet. And it's sad that a show like Moonlight never got a good chance.

Well Charmed and Moonlight are totally different... Charmed got 8 years and it never was seriously under threat of cancellation, it's network never wanted to axe it seriously. Charmed got a well-planned ending when everyone's contracts were up and the actors were ready to move on.
Moonlight got one measly short season before it could build up its audience a bit... and it's getting yanked due to lack of faith that it can turn around in the ratings.
Too many GOOD SHOWS get canned after one or two seasons! I'd rather have five seasons of EVERY series, rather than 8 seasons of shows like Smallville and Charmed which are running out of ideas....

Here's a full forum on the topic of the finale.... there's 230 odd posts already, so if you want to talk about the ep, you'll have people there chatting back and forth with you.

My name is Janet over there, and I'm squealing and screaming at Lillith for all she did and Kripke for making the fans wonder until September about Dean's fate in hell!

Dur. I wonder if there's ANY HOPE that Moonlight could be resurrected like Jericho was.... and have another season? Maybe on another network? Grrr. Has the SEASON/SERIES FINALE aired yet? I'm behind on Moonlight and haven't watched any tv lately really.... I hope that we get SOME conclusion there. Mick/Beth forever. :(
And hey... I just watched SUPERNATURAL's season three finale... and crap. I want to go after Eric Kripke (the show runner and genius creator) with a pitchfork.... GRRR! The way he left Dean.... DUR

I heard Moonlight got cancelled... that absolutely sucks, I loved that show. :(
I am watching Supernatural's season finale tonight, it starts in five minutes! That's going to be a kickass ep!

Hey, just popping in to squeal a little. I've only bought four or five Noctures so far (damn my library for not stocking them!). And I just ordered another seven off of the Sexy Bargain Outlet for May.... yum! I'm eagerly awaiting their arrival, I hope they show up fast!
I'll review them for the Book Challenge of course. :)

SnstBeach .... I remember two books with that plot.... I'm trying to pull up my info on them...
2362 The Salvatore Marriage Michelle Reid Harlequin Presents This book was really gripping and emotional. The grief, passion, and tenderness just had me jumping! They were together two years ago, engaged, until he found her cleaning up after another MAN in their apartment. She tried to tell him it was her sister (who married the hero's brother) but he wouldn't believe her. They had angry sex and he broke her heart with his cold refusal to speak to her after. They come back together when their married siblings have a fatal car accident, the hero breaks the news, and they have to deal with the hospitals and their newborn baby niece. Despite the past, he wants a life with her. Their coming together is really emotional. Over the past two years, neither has been able to bring themselves to having sex with other people, so their feelings for each other are all the more special on both sides. I really enjoyed this book. I have never had a book with death/grief in my keeper pile, but this is a keeper for me because the passion and tenderness were so amazing. Rating: 5/5 stars, the best book I've read from Michelle Reid so far. 2695 The Frenchman's Marriage Demand Chantelle Shaw Harlequin Presents She was his mistress 2 years ago, then she got pregnant and told him. He had had a vasectomy and believed she'd cheated on him with a male friend of hers. He threw her out of his life. Now, she's had a slight accident and her mother has thrust care of her granddaughter onto the hero, she's tired of helping with unwanted babies and she wants the father to step up. The hero meets with the heroine again, but still doesn't believe he has a child, he insists on a paternity test. Of course he has to eat humble pie when he finds out he is the father. They resume their sexual relationship and he asks her to be his live-in mistress, both before he finds out the child is his, and again he asks after he knows. This book is very passionate and a good read. The hero added the situation up in his head: father + mother + child = making the mom his mistress? In my mind the hero should have been doing a little grovelling and should be thanking the heroine for forgiving him for being such an asshole in the past. He thought he was in the position of power and he never apologized for throwing her out of his life (and taking up with other women, though he was happy to hear that she hadn't been with anyone else!). Rating: 3.5/5 stars, it's hard to make tossing out the mother of your child and ignoring her for two years (where the hero has other lovers) sound romantic, but the hero had an intense and unique passion for the heroine, so that made up for it slightly. 2719 Innocent Wife, Baby of Shame Melanie Milburne Harlequin Presents UGH! The hero thinks the heroine cheated on their marriage, the heroine was ill and has no memory so she thinks she cheated too. She punishes herself and hates herself for it. The hero is angry as hell, he's cold and verbally abusive to her, he calls her slut, whore, wanton, soiled goods… nasty subject of a romance novel! They were split up for two months... and during that time HE has multiple lovers. She has one night that she doesn't even remember doing... he flagrantly sleeps with other women as soon as he's thrown her out and started separation proceedings. This is not a good HP storyline. I could have lived with it if the hero had restrained himself and actually turned out NOT to have been having sex with other women during the two month separation, but two measly months went by and he was sleeping with other women, and he kept right on doing it until a few days before he started sleeping with the heroine again. Major ick factor. Rating: 1/5 stars, personally I couldn't stomach this storyline at all, and my rating reflects the storyline. I really don't think THIS one is it, but it does have the "hero threw the heroine preggers out of his life and wouldn't take her calls"
2582 Million Dollar Love-Child Sarah Morgan Harlequin Presents The hero dumped her when she was 18, leaving her pregnant and refusing to take her calls when she tried to contact him. She took advantage of his credit cards to take a lump of money to enable her to put payment down on a flat and baby expenses. Seven years later, someone is blackmailing her and threatening to kidnap her son. She goes to the hero to get money: but he thinks she is a gold digger who is making up an elaborate scheme to get money! That's fine by him, he'll give her money but only if he gets what he wants, her in his bed for as long as he wants. She accepts and reluctantly gives up insisting that her story is TRUE and the child exists. The hero is quite a jackass to her while he doesn't believe her story: he assumes he can get what he wants and manipulate her easily into falling into his plans to stay in his bed indefinately. Boy is he shocked and appalled to find out he really does have a son, and the child really is in danger of being kidnapped! At that point, the foot is entirely on the other boot and he is doing whatever the heroine wants! She has conditions this time around, to make sure that they can have a healthy relationship. Great read. Sarah Morgan is a great writer! The hero acted like such an ass, and SM wrote him in such a way that even though you wanted to slap him, you kind of understood why he was the way he was. When he fell, he fell hard. Rating: 4/5 stars, if you have a love/hate relationship with alpha males, this book is for you. - 05/04/2008 - 09:43
Hey HP fans, I just went to town on my BACKLOG of books to review. (I joined the book challenge forums only in APRIL.... but I read tons of books in January, February, March of 2008) ... so now I'm adding at least 150 books, mostly HPs.
Last night I added 60 odd HPs. If you want to scroll through my latest reviews, it's kind of a good time to read PURE HP reviews...
- 05/02/2008 - 19:03Hey Melissa, I'm a pretty hardcore fan of Harlequin Presents books, I've read at least 1000 probably! I am not a writer myself, so it wouldn't be a symbiotic partnership. But I'd give your story a good solid read if you wanted and follow up with you. I'm probably more likely to be critical than glowing, but it would be constructive. If you want my feedback, email me at janet85@gmail.com

Hey there. Just dropping in to say I'm still around and reading. :p (I'm making a dent into that box of 120 odd older HPs!)
Good luck to everyone with their writing and revisions!
