    Hey Lorie,

Thanks for organizing this digital clinic. I have to admit I am becoming a bit of a podcast addict -- there is so much good stuff out there!

If you are thinking about listening do try subscribing through iTunes -- it really is very user friendly.

Have people been having any problems? Have you tried podcasts?

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Yes, I agree that even if you don't plan to write for a series, hearing the editors speak about their series gives you insights and will make you want to read specific books. I love the editor's picks idea and will put it into my plan! not sure when this will happen but it's a great idea.

One of my favorite podcasts is the TV podcast recapping and discussing last week's television. I would love to do something with readers and editors but haven't worked out the concept. If anyone has ideas please share!

Are live now!!! The first one features Melissa J and Diana V of Desire. If anyone wants to write for Desire they absolutely have to listen to what the editors say.

There will be a new podcast every second Wednesday.

    Hey all,

at midnight tonight (Feb 14) I am posting a sweepstakes to win a Digital Reader from Sony. They created a skin special for Harlequin and romance readers (it's pink) and sold them on the Sony site -- we got one to give away. If you are interested go to the Presents blog and enter your name (you do not need to buy anything).

www.iheartpresents.com   Go and enter! You could win!!!

    Cole,

You have so aptly stated the challenges with finding the right device -- I so look forward to the future of one format and simple devices! I applaud you for persevering and spending 2 weeks figuring out your needs. I'm pretty savvy yet am not familiar with the device you mentioned but I do love the eBook reader and PDA in one.

I hope the someday soon of the great device and one format is coming soon!

Cole, because you have summed up the consumer experience so well I am going to share your post with several other in the digital publishing sphere.

    Hi Cole,

I know I'm being nosy, but because I am so deeply involved in eBooks I am just so curious -- what kind of Reader did you get? Was is a Christmas present? Did you pick it out?

I have both the Sony Reader and the Amazon Kindle -- but they are being passed through many hands here at Harlequin so I haven't had much time to read on them -- and I just bought a pile of books for the Sony. That reminds me that I need to find it and reclaim it!

Thanks Katherine T for your author suggestions and questions! I will put them on my list of candidates.

    Happy to receive more recommendations!

I work on Harlequin's eBook program, so I thought I'd answer a few questions -- and then ask one of my own.

And to all of you fearless digital trailblazers a big thank you! Harlequin is the first publisher to publish its entire frontlist in eBook format, because people like you are reading them! As well, we add in some original products like the Mini and Spice Briefs and we have a lot of people in the publishing business watching us.

Re. having one-clicks on sale a month earlier. I think it's simply a matter of man hours at this time. But I will mention this idea to Jenny and get back to you.

There are more series coming to the continuity very soon. I know Harlequin Historicals and one other series that has slipped my brain. Plus there are more one-clicks coming -- Nocturne, for sure!

Has anyone subscribed to either Presents or Desire as the eBook continuity? Do you like getting the books this way?

First I wanted to give a big shout out to Jayne and her board hosts for this great new community! It is just awesome!!! Now that I am finally here I may never leave.

For those of you who are interested in writing a romance novel, we are going to launch a brand new series of podcasts in midFebruary called Meet the Editors: Insider Tips on How to Get Published by the Editors of Harlequin and Silhouette.

    How great is that?!!

Each podcast will center on one series, example Silhouette Desire. It will feature the senior editor and an acquiring editor for the series talking about the series promise, what they are looking for in manuscripts and writing advice. If you can't meet an editor face to face at a conference these will be the next best thing.

I'll post again with the schedule and live date.

As the voice (and brains? questionable) behind the Harlequin podcasts I wanted to pop in and tell you a little about what is upcoming -- and love to receive feedback!

The author spotlight series is now on a reliable schedule of 2 podcasts a month. Live now is a really great interview with Susan Wiggs author of Snowfall at Willow Lake.

I recorded Christine Rimmer about 2 hours ago --and her podcast will be live on February 11. Her February SSE is Valentine's Secret Child, another of her fantastic Bravo family books!

Then for March books are Heather Graham (Feb 25) and Rhyannon Byrd (March 10). Heather has the two "Dead" books -- The Dead Room and The Death Dealer. And Rhyannon is starting a new trilogy in Nocturne, the Blood Ties trilogy. They're hot and intriguing!!

There's more! Brenda Joyce, A Dangerous Love (March 31) and Gena Showalter, The Darkest Night (April 28). Plus I am busy lining up many more authors to chat.

Who would you like to hear on a podcast?
