Hey, Tammy. Sorry, I've been kind of running behind on some of my blogs and the forum threads.... It's hard for me to keep up!

And, Michelle, I'm sure I'll like the book. I've been reading kudos for it here on eharlequin (Donna Alward left a great review of your second book in the series -'Viking Warrior, Unwilling Wife'), so I'm taking that as positive proof of it's good readability - is that even a word?
. Anyway, you know what I mean.
I love reading historicals of nearly every time period - with very few exceptions. As a dyed-in-the-wool antique collector, it's fun to imagine the past lives in connection with the pieces I find (unfortunately, we don't have the selection of antiques here in the US that the UK has
). Of course, I also read and enjoy contemporary novels too since my taste in genres fluctuate with my mood. However, I do find that most of the ideas I have for writing lean towards plots set in bygone days (although my last novel has been sent to SSE and is present day). And, Deb, I actually like to do research too! The more I learn, the more fascinated I become. And this makes my storyline more real to me.
Catchianthe, I liked that last line of what you said. I agree that sometimes facts really can be stranger (or more interesting) than fiction. It would hard to write certain kinds of scenes without having discovered them to have really happened.
Rae, I can't believe you said you're 38. You don't look your age. I seriously thought you were younger. And that is not flattery... now, if you were a chief editor who was looking over my manuscript it might be a different story... but as it is, I'm not just flattering. LOL
And I also like that you said you're comfortable in your own skin. I try to be too, but I have to say sometimes I am, sometimes I'm not. Working on that....
- 05/06/2008 - 15:55...and I loved it! In fact, I just posted my review. I have three more of your books in my TBR pile that I'll be getting around to soon.
- 05/05/2008 - 08:38Hi, Michelle, I was just looking at the new books that were coming out at HARL and guess who's book I found?
I love the sexy cover of Taken by the Viking. After reading the excerpt, I added it to my cart. I always read in between writing and being here at eharlequin (an addiction that's hard to manage). I'm learning to squeeze, squeeze, squeeze for time. Well, I'm trying anyway....
