Lis, sorry, not a Tom Jones fan at all.  My two older sisters drooled over him when he had a weekly show in the 70's.  I always thought "ick".  Not my cuppa tea, I guess. 

My Mom's here for Thanksgiving.  As we worked on making pumpkin pies today, I tossed a Dean cd on.  While dh and ds complained, Mom enjoyed the tunes.  For the first time in ages, I wasn't outnumbered...a draw...two for and two against.  Just glad I had a little backup for a change! lol

We're lucky this year.  My Mom came to spend the holiday with us.  While I worked all weekend, I managed to get Thanksgiving Monday off so we have big plans for the day.

Popping in to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

We usually have the big dinner on Sunday. But I worked all wkend and, as luck would have it, have tomorrow off.  So we're doing the turkey thing tomorrow.  Ran to Renfrew on Thursday and brought Mom home with me on Friday.  My sisters, all of whom live near my mother, had "other" plans for Thanksgiving.  (won't get started on that one)

It'll be just the four of us.  While I was at work today, ds and Oma made beautiful placemats with waxed maple and oak leaves.  Ds also fished out our good dishes from boxes upstairs so he and Oma could wash them up.  I don't have a good place to display those old dishes so have never unpacked them.  Since Oma is here, ds is determined to make this Thanksgiving special...and Oma is much more of a pushover than she was when I was ds' age.
