For Whom the Bell Tolls with Gary Cooper

Had to read this book in high school.  Ugh, hated it!  I often think I should read it again.  Back then I resented anything I was forced to read and basically skimmed it.

Saved By the Bell with Dustin Diamond

This show came to mind right away but I had to look up the cast since I have never watched it.  Not my cuppa tea but by what I've seen after looking it up, I guess it's fairly popular.

I know ds will recover and want another dog.  We still have Maxine, a GS who is almost 10.  She's very much my dog tho and Becker was very much ds'. He's really struggling.

Jan, I've always loved dogs more than cats but I do understand you're concern over eventually losing your two babes.  Cats or dogs...or horses and yeah, in my case, cows too...one day we all know we'll deal with losing them.

Oh, Moe, I love Goldens.  Such loving dogs.  Never owned one but I used to milk cows for a guy who had two.  Boy, these dogs lived up to the "retriever" end of their name.  I'd get there at 5am to milk the cows and those dogs insisted on greeting me with something to share.  Drove the farmer's wife nuts because, in the summer, they'd often rip a plant out of her flower bed to bring to me.  And in the winter, she had this huge red bow on the front door of the house that they'd rip off to give to me.  By New Year's Eve, that bow had been torn off and replaced so many times that it was in shreds.

I used to get a bit tired of them while I milked the cows.  Used a paper wipe to clean a cow's udder before I put the milker on her and would toss it into the gutter.  I could count on one of the dogs picking it up and handing it back to me every time.  It got old fast. 50 cows meant 50 wipes stuck in my pockets by the time I finished milking.

Such loving dogs...and so giving (much to their owners' chagrin.  lol)

We can never get tmi Donna.  Just a word of advice...keep dh's body parts away from the holes that suck the water in. Don't want him to discover he has no use for you anymore.

Ohhh, did I say that?  Someone must have stolen my brightly polished halo because it's simply not like me to make that kinda comment.  LOL
