Jana - Yeah all that water is tough to drink. Didn't do too good today on it. I think I'm only going to be at about 6 servings after I finish my current bottle.
Brenda - I was having to run to the bathroom ALL the time my first couple weeks and waking up in teh middle of the night to use th ebathroom too. My counselor said it takes the body time to adjust to that much fluid intake but once it did, I'd not be in the bathroom quite so much. And that seems to be true. I'm halfway through my third week and I've noticed I don't seem to have to go to the bthroom quite as often as last week even though I'm drinking as much, if not more now that I'm on the full diet and most of their meals are some form of liquid (soups, shakes, drinks, pudding)

I just happened to notice today that this was here so I HAD to pop in! Hi Patrice! Hi Jachin and Landon!
I loved both books, and both stories. Landon, your story really got to me and I just had to tell you that! Made me cry more than once knowing what all you went through before you found peace with Kaitlyn!
Jachin - tell Ariel I said hello and hope her pregnancy is going well. Can't wait to meet your baby. (I'm assuming we'll get to meet him or her in book 3.)
- 05/12/2008 - 21:00that was a big thing ALW was very particular about when they decided to make the movie. He was quite insistant the actors playing the main characters did all their own singing. I read somewhere the only one who did not do their own singing was Minnie Driver becasue she can sing but she can't sing the way she needed to as Carlotta.

i'm not having a problem with portion sizes yet but then I've only fully gotten into the program for a couple days. I was on "conditioning" for two weeks, getting me used to eating 6 meals a day. I'm used to the many meals and since I eat every 2-3 hours I've not really had any times except one since I started over two weeks ago that I felt hungry. For me the hardest part is getting used to drinking so much water! I don't drink 8 glasses of ANYthing in a day unless I'm working had and working up a sweat. So that's been tough. But I htink I'm kinda used to it now and find myself constantly grabbing my bottle of water.

Jana - hope whatever it is you're dealing with calms down soon. But that the weight loss keeps going!
I had my latest appointment with my counselor on Friday. Down another 1.1 lbs. And today I started fully into the program. I'm doing the fast track version of the program so I have to eat 5 of their meals and one of my own every day. And the food limitations on what I make myself are pretty strict but there's still variety.
weighed myself tonight before my shower and I was down 0.7 since Friday. On the plan I'm on it's not uncommon to lose up to 5 lbs a week (and it's safe which is good) if you stick to it exactly as you're supposed to.

I had my second meeting at Medifast today and I am actually down 1.2 lbs. I was quite surprised since I feel like I'm eating MORE now with the 6 meals a day thing. But I guess I'm not. Or I am but it's healthy food. Though I swear I float out the door every day as much water as I've been drinking. LOL
Been doing good on the exercising thing too. Nothing really strenuous but I'm out there so that's good. I hope I can keep it up once we get into the real summer weather here. I went walking two days this week. 45 minutes on Tuesday and did about 2.5-3 miles. Went again Friday to the same park and trail but I walked the entire trail that time. Took me over an hour but I walked 4 miles. (I love this park. it's actually a gorgeous string of parks up and down the river and through wetlands AND they have the trail marked with distance markers so you know exactly how far you walked.)
Today I went hiking at one of the lakes with my friend Rhonda. We weren't really tracking distance but we got up high where we stopped to turn around and we could see all the way down the side of the lake to where we started and it was FAR! I'm guessing we walked about 1.75-2 hours since we did stop up on the rocks at one point to chit chat and drink some water and were there for a while. We're guessing we hiked at least 4 miles, possibly more, and it was not an easy walk. Lots of rocks and up hill areas.

since I've been so busy I've barely touched any of the boards. I've not been trying too hard lately on dieting and losing weight but I made a new commitment to myself on Thursday. I signed up for Medifast. Not exactly cheap for the full "in clinic" version but I'm of the mind if I am spending this much money I'll feel guilty if I falter and it will force me to be good on the program. LOL
The hardest part is going to be getting used to eating every 2 to 3 hours and drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. Then there is the fact I am supposed to journal every single thing I eat and drink as soon as I eat it or drink it so if I plateau or gain, they can figure out why.
Fortunately there is a LOT of variety in the food I have to get from them - 6 different kinds of shakes, scrambled eggs, 3 or 4 kinds of oatmeal. 6 or 7 kinds of soup. Then there is pudding, soy crisps (which look like those quaker bite sized flavored rice cakes), 4 or 5 kinds of meal bars (that a friend of mine told me are fabulous and taste like eating a candy bar). They even have hot cocoa, chai latte and cappucino. And probably other stuff I'm forgetting. The shakes have a good flavor but since they are a powder that doesn't always mix completely, they can be chalky. And they kinda stink, I guess from the soy and whey in them. But i discovered if i chug them I'm fine. if i try to drink them slowly, the texture or the smell gets to me.
The deal is you eat 5 of their meals a day and 1 "lean and green" meal you fix yourself. And your lean and green meal can be any meal you want. so that's nice for when I'm on the road or a friend wants to go out.
I need variety in a diet, and simplicity since I travel a lot for work. So I'm hoping this works for me. I have to go in for weekly one on one meetings with a counselor and they run all kinds of tests as well as weighing you and taking all your measurements and stuff. I'm kinda excited about it even as I wonder if it will really work but I'm making a conscious effort on it.I've even started exercising (granted only once or twice a week right now but I have to start somewhere. LOL) now that the weather is nice and I can go walking or roller blading.
But I will sure try to stop in here at least once a week as I'm goin through it to keep y'all posted and get that emotional support I may need to stick it out.
I realized this got really long and sounds like an advertisement. LOL Sorry 'bout that. I'm really NOT trying to sound like a salesman but excited about trying something that sounds like it actually may work for me. So just give me a cyber bop upside the head if I keep sounding like I'm selling the program.

I had posted this at the eBook thread and realized after it went a direction I wasn't planning, it belonged over here. So I'm reposting the below message here:
I just happened to notice in the eBook store that there is a new bundle for the Moriah's Landing series. I read those back when they first came out and I LOVED that mini series. Any plans to release more of the gothic type books in a bundle. Like the Eclipse line? And not gothics, but the Nighthawk Island series by Rita Herron would be good too. Then there was a Dani Sinclair series I think. I forget the name of the series but they all had a gate in the logo and I think one of the books was The Third Twin. Family Secrets would be nice to see in eBook too. I guess I should be posting this on the backlist to ebook thread instead of here. So I'll post it both places.
