Hi everyone--
Wow, I miss one day and it got real chatty in here! DD and dgd were visiting on Thursday so I got nothing else done. We did the mall and a local garden center and Lauren was so good and patient with us.
Sandi--I'm glad you found a good deal for your trip to Chicago.
Margie--I'm glad to hear someone else found that book less than appealing. I have enjoyed all the other books. And I have read that author before and liked her books.
Tiffany--Good luck with your finals.
Cady--Good luck with the potty training.
Jayejean--Welcome!
I never watched Moonlight but I know it had loyal fans.
I did not read much of Wedding Ring but hope to this weekend.
Have a good weekend!

Hi everyone--
Cathie--sorry your favorite show was cancelled. I hate when that happens. Guess you'll just have to fill the time reading. That's what I usually do.
Donna--sorry you are having computer problems. Hope you can get it easily fixed.

Hi everyone--
Cathie--I picked up Wedding Ring by Emilie Richard (first book in her quilt series) at the library. Started reading it last night and I can't put it down! Thanks for the rec!

Hi everyone--
Cady--good to see you back. Sorry that book is not working for you.
I finished reading The Billionaire Drifter and I was disappointed. The main characters acted badly throughout the book and really did not redeem themselves much IMO. It is part of the Family Secrets series which I have enjoyed up till now. The writing was not bad, the story just did not work for me.

Hi everyone--
Kathy--sorry to hear things are rough for you and Ken right now. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts.
Sandi--I have been sewing since junior high school and have never lost my desire to sew. My mom's sister was a sewer and gave me lots of advice when I started out. I am now looking for a new machine. I've had my present one for 32 years! It has outlived its warranty! I would also like to learn to quilt. One of my reasons for getting a new machine is to be able to machine quilt. Lauren sure did keep us busy with dropsy but we had fun. Enjoy your new Kindle.
I'm still reading The Billionaire Drifter. Still annoyed with most of the main characters but I will finish as it is part of a series.
I hope everyone is having a good week.

Hi everyone--
I hope all the moms are enjoying your day. We celebrated yesterday with our dd, dsil, and dgd. Dh's mom was here also. We had a bbq and a nice visit. Lauren kept us all entertained with her newest trick--dropping stuff on the floor and waiting for someone to pick it up!
Amanda--LoLs about it being a man scheduling something in the am on mom's day.
I finished Damage Control--a fun, quick read. Now I am reading Billionaire Drifter by Beverly Bird. The h is somewhat annoying but the book is part of the Family Secrets series so I will suffer through it. Maybe she will redeem herself.
Have a good week!

Hi everyone--
It is pretty quiet in here!
Hi Lisa!
Donna--I enjoyed watching Juno and am looking forward to seeing P.S. I Love You. I have it on hold at the library. I will have to rent The Rookie one of these days. Same as you I used to find it hard to pass up fabric stores but I've gotten better since fabric is expensive. I still check the bargain tables though.
I am reading Damage Control by Kristi Gold. It is good so far. It is part of the Hotel Marchand series.
I hope you all have a great Mother's Day!!!!!!

Hi everyone--
I've been on a sewing/reading marathon the past two days and I'm nearing the finish line! I have been working on an outfit for Lauren and just have to sew on some buttons and iron it. And I finished Only His by Elizabeth Lowell. It was excellent!
I plan to veg tonight and watch Juno. I've heard great things about this movie. Dh and I watched Mr. Brooks recently which was ok. We also watched Amazing Grace which is excellent.
Donna--I'm not a baseball fan either (I'm a football girl) but it was great being with family and the game was actually exciting because it was close and had a great finish (for the Phillies.)

Hi everyone--
Sandi--Congrats to the bowlers! And yes, my wish list is getting as long as the TBR piles are high!
Dh and I had a great Sunday. We attended a Phillies baseball game with our dd, dgd, dsil and my dbs. It was a fun day with tail-gating and a fantastic finish to the game. Lauren was so good throughout the game. Even the weather cooperated!
I am currently reading Only His by Elizabeth Lowell. I've read many of her books but this is the first of her historical romances I've read. It is good.
I hope everyone has a good week!
Mary
