After really getting into Elena Michaels' stories I was sure that these next two would be somewhat of a letdown, being as I really like werewolves and this book was from the witch, Paige Winterbourne's, POV... but I should have known better. We first met Paige in the second of Elena's stories ~ Stolen; she was one of the two witches that proved to Elena that the werewolves weren't the only members of the supernatural races.
I really like Paige. She took custody of Savannah, also from the last book ~ at a pretty big cost to herself and had no qualms. She really had no idea what was headed her way, but even if she had she wouldn't have changed anything ~ Savannah needed someone to look after her and guide her and Paige was that someone.
Lucas Cortez is an excellent partner for Paige ~ and a great foil. Together they can definitely face the chaos that ensued. Another Kelley Armstrong winner that I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent ~ 4.0 stars
Steaminess: Sensual
BOOK READ:
Kelley Armstrong; Dime Store Magic; Seal Books; April 2007 (reissue)
3rd book in the Women of the Otherworld series
FROM the BACK:
Paige Winterbourne was always either too young or too rebellious to succeed her mother as leader of one of the world's most powerful elite organizations ~ the American Coven of Witches. Now that she is twenty-three and her mother is dead, the Elders can no longer deny her. But even Paige's wildest antics can't hold a candle to those of her new charge ~ an orphan who is all too willing to use her budding powers for evil...and evil is all too willing to claim her. For this girl is being pursued by a dark faction of the supernatural underworld. They are a vicious group who will do anything to woo the young, malleable, and extremely powerful neophyte, including commit murder ~ and frame Paige for the crime. It's an initiation into adulthood, womanhood, and the brutal side of magic, and Paige will have to do everything within her power to make sure they both survive.

This is the last
This is the last book in this series I have read. I really need to get back to them. I thought they were great when I read them. I have all of them in my piles, maybe I can get back to them next month when I do Vicki's challenge to read 15 from my TBR. I really need to read about 50 next month from my TBR even then it wouldn't make much of a dent.

Oooh... I have Exit Strategy!
I'm guessing that her Women of the Otherworld series doesn't end with No Humans Involved, but that's okay ~ I don't mind moving onto something new... once I get through the next three books.
Thanks Lys!

Women of otherworld.. going strong
Nope, No Human Involved is just Number 7.
Number 8, which came out in March 2008, is Personal Demon. And I think #9 was projected out in Nov. 2008 maybe..
I've been lucky enough to be asked to review both No Human Involved and Personal Demon for Library Journal.. which was interesting, since they were the first two I read of the series. I loved them so much that I told the editor to keep me in mind in November, Lol. Not that it will promise me the next one, but I thought I'd get my wish in there. Most of the time I do boring pop psychology books, so these two paranormal reviews were great fun. I just managed to collect the back books so I can enjoy them too, so I was interested to read your reviews.
