163. Marie Ferrarella ~ Five-Alarm Affair ~ SR #613 (1988)

This is another re-read of a book that I've had for a number of years; it, along with three others, became keepers when I first read them and, when a little while ago, I became somewhat nostalgic, these were the perfect fix.
I got a little annoyed with Aimee when she kept insisting that she couldn't fall in love because it hurt too much ~ even though she had a great first marriage... but that was just me.  I absolutely adored Wayne... he could fight fires around me anytime!  Ummm, I didn't really say that.... Innocent  Sealed
But I enjoyed it enough ~ again ~ for it to rejoin my other keepers.  RECOMMEND!!

FROM the BACK:
                                     TOO HOT TO HANDLE

With his blond hair and wall-to-wall shoulders, Wayne Montgomery looked every inch the knight in shining armor.  And when the heroic fireman attacked the inferno in Aimee Greer's kitchen, he found his damsel in distress.
Thirty-year-old widowed mothers who doubled as real-estate dynamos simply could not afford to fall in love.  Not when losing hurt so much.  But armed with red roses, soufflés and tenderness, Wayne stormed the fortress around Aimee's heart.  His goal was to fight fire with fire ~ and to set passion ablaze in the blood of a beautiful woman....
