During last year's challenge someone reviewed Leslie Kelly's One Wild Wedding Night and I've been looking for it ever since. Thankfully a friend loaned me her copy so that I was finally able to see if it really was as good as it had sounded... it was! So, of course, I'm still looking for a copy of my own ~ never can have too much of a good ~ heck, excellent ~ thing. And this book is definitely an excellent thing, indeed.
This was different than I had expected, mostly in that each of the bridesmaids' has their own story yet each are still tied to the whole ~ very nicely done. I loved the way that Leslie Kelly had such five different and very individualized stories for five very unique women and the men they love. Fabulous, fabulous book ~ VERY, VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent to OUTSTANDING ~ 4.5 stars
Steaminess: Sensual to Yummy++
BOOK READ:
Leslie Kelly; One Wild Wedding Night; HB #369; January 2008
FROM the BACK:
This is one super-sexy wedding night
these five women will never forget!
Meet the lucky bridesmaids:
A totally hot FBI agent offers his full-body protection to very willing witness Bridget Donahue....
Stripper Leah Muldoon bares it all for a sexy stranger in a limo, much to their mutual satisfaction!
Wild big-city attorney Mia Natale is in for the best sex of her life. But who is that other guy?
When dancer Vanessa McKee unexpectedly sees a man from her past, they rediscover their insatiable lust!
A breathless night in the arms of a seductive European lover should definitely spice up Gloria Santori's marriage....
Further NOTES:
This book got me really into wanting to discover more of Leslie Kelly's stories, especially her Santori Family series. There are two Santori brothers in this book; Nick, whose wedding was being celebrated, and Tony, whose wife Gloria was one of the bride's sister and bridesmaid. Needless to say reading about these hot, hunky Italians got me drooling wanting the rest of the stories... then I noticed that one of the titles for one of the brothers' stories sounded familiar: Behind the Red Door's Sheer Delight is actually in my keeper collection... I'm going to be re-reading it very, very soon!
One other little thing ~ and this is in no way a negative....
I don't read that many BLAZEs, mostly because most of my favourite authors write for other lines. I started reading the BLAZE line during it's transformation from the Temptation line and I know that it was a lot tamer then but again, I enjoy erotic romance so the sex and descriptivness isn't anyway a hurdle, but there were a couple of the stories that pushed the envelope a little...but only a bit and I found it quite interesting to see the line continuing to grow.
Just a little thought.

I loved the whole Santori series
but One Wild Wedding Night was the best! Loved how each bridesmaid had a unique encounter!

Wedding Night
This one is still on my TBR shelves. I really like Leslie Kelly. I've read some of her other stuff. Thanks for the great reveiw. Maybe I'll head home and rearrange the shelves!

Lynn, well this one sure whet my appetite for more of the Santoris ~ especially Nick's and Tony's ~ and I'm really going to have to look for Joe's story (Sheer Delight from the Behind the Red Doors anthology). This is gonna be fun!
Leanne, I'm really glad that I just borrowed this book ~ but only because I read it sooner than I likely would have if it had been in my TBR. Definitely worth moving up the queue, IMHO.

Wow, thanks!
Thanks so much for the lovely review, kalyko! I'm thrilled that you liked it so much! I really loved writing that book and I hope to get to write another "encounters" book sometime.
As for the entire Santori series... I'm glad to hear you have Behind The Red Doors already because that is probably the hardest to find. Beyond that, That's Amore (Luke's story is called "There Goes The Groom") would probably be hard to find too. But all the rest are available at least in e-book form right through eHarlequin's ebook site. If you only like hard copies, I know Overexposed is still available at bn.com, and One Wild Wedding Night is still available right here on eHq.
As for my fave of the Santori stories--it would have to be Don't Open Till Christmas. I just loved Mark (Nick's twin.) That's probably my personal fave of any Blaze I've done.
In case you don't have it, the stories are:
Behind The Red Doors (Joe)
That's Amore (Luke)
Don't Open Till Christmas (Mark)
Asking For Trouble (Lottie)
Overexposed (Nick)
One Wild Wedding Night (wrap-up & Tony's story)
BTW...there is a surprise sneak-appearance of one of the Santoris in my current Blaze, Slow Hands. Just too painful to say goodbye to that family.
Thanks again for the great review, it was so nice to stumble across it! Let me know if you can't find any used copies of That's Amore and I'll see if I can hunt one down.

Wow... thank you for the author drive-by Leslie!
I can only imagine how it must have been to write the book ~ the characters just seem to come alive; did you find that was the case for you?
I've already ordered One Wild Wedding Night from here (along with oh, one or two other books ~ like Slow Hands
) and am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to go hunting for the rest of the books.
I do so enjoy that endeavour! I'm definitely looking forward to reading Mark's story as well ~ love knowing that it's your favourite!
Thanks again for stopping by Leslie!
