4 hearts ~ This book was a found treasure... now I just have to hunt down the next two.... Oh, but it's going to be so worth it! I really loved Jace; he was the quintessential 'I'm a P.I. so I'm tough' guy, but he really has a heart of gold... and where those he loves are concerned, marshmallow. He's a straight-up guy but can't believe that he can have anything in common with a princess. Parker is a princess, but she really doesn't want to be. Her challenge was learning to come to terms with her heritage and to then figure out where she really wanted to go. It's hard wanting one thing but feeling trapped by its opposite.
The romance between Jace and Parker was modern yet with elements of a fairy tale; it was wonderful.

FROM the BACK:

Breaking News:
Royals in Perry Square!

Princess Marie Anna Parker Mickovich Dillonetti, aka
Parker Dillon, may have convinced some folks that she
was *just* a waitress. But no one is buying local private
eye Jace O'Donnell's story that protecting the princess is
*just* a job. Not judging by his careful, round-the-clock
watch of the pretty, down-to-earth Ms. Dillon (who knew
royalty liked pizza and videos!). And though she might be
giving him the royal runaround, now that this irresistible
investigator is on the case, dare we hope that the runaway
princess's wandering days are over?
