291. Jayne Castle ~ Dark Light ~ Jove (September 2008)
Hot, HOT, HOT and very sexy, this story took me on a roller-coaster ride that I did NOT want to get off. There's often a fine line between humour and ridiculousness, but Jayne Castle (aka Krentz) knows exactly how to tread it. And she combines it with dazzling psy powers, hunky alpha males, scorching romance and characters who believe in loyalty and honour and live their lives accordingly. Then there's the dust-bunny called Elvis with all the requisite rock-and-roll accoutrements... c'mon that's just F-U-N!
AND... Dust-bunnies RULE!

Excellence: Excellent+ ~ 4.5 stars of 5

FROM the BACK:
Everything is different underground. Just ask the
residents of Harmony, a futuristic world where alien
catacombs can lead you astray ~ and where psychic
senses spark out-of-this-world passion...
Reporter Sierra McIntyre's stories on Crystal City's ghost hunters ~ and their mysterious guild ~ have earned her tabloid a bit of respect. And they've allowed her to clothe her dust-bunny companion, Elvis, in rock-and-roll style. It helps that she has mega-rez intuition to fall back on...
Especially when she interviews Ghost Hunter Guild boss John Fontana about the disappearances of retired, homeless hunters. She doesn't want to trust the physically and psychically powerful man, but her senses ~ and Elvis ~ give her the green light. To uncover the conspiracy whithin his own organization, Fontana proposes...marriage. And though it's purely a buisness arrangement, there's nothing pure about the attraction that sizzles between them...

Dark Light
Gotta love Jayne, I have all her books.
I have enjoyed all of Jayne
I have enjoyed all of Jayne Castle's books. To me they have the same humor and the push/pull relationships of the characters in Amanda Quick's book but in a futuristic setting.
Elvis (the dustbunny) is so cool.
I love JAK and all her names/types. The setting may change but her characters and stories always seem to work wonderfully. This book is on by TBR stack. I actually watched her trailer on this book several times. It is hosted by Elvis and cracks me up everytime.

Ah... more JAK fans!
This book is definitely in keeping with all her other JC stories.
Gmary, while I have nearly all her books, there are still a few of the very older ones that I haven't yet added to my collection ~ but it's only a matter of time... and money.
Miss Mona, you're so right... regardless of the setting and / or times, this lady knows how to create characters that I really, really love... and always wonderful romances as well.
Blake, Oh wow... I can't beleive that I missed that! I've gotta see it ~ thanks so much for the heads-up... Elvis is wonderful! Long Live the King!

Hi Kathy
I read this a couple of weeks ago. Loved it. Elvis was too cute. I loved his balloon transportation and his addiction to caffine. Too cute.
Margie :)
Ooooh Elvis...
If JAK's not careful she's going to have to start writing dust bunny stories! So far, they've all been outstanding and very much individuals in their own right.
And Margie you're so right about Elvis and his addictions and locomotions... I'd LOVE to have a dust bunny just like him!
