#31. The Case of the Mesmerizing Boss by Diana Palmer. Desire, March 1992

I just had to do book review #31 on May 31st. . .  and just had to pick a Diana Palmer book to do it with.  It says it's one of the Most Wanted series, but I don't have any of the others, so I don't know if it's her series or she just wrote one among many authors.  At any rate.  It was a good book, and started out with Tess getting shot -- and she's not even the private eye, she's just the secretary.  That's what happens when you witness a drug buy.

Dane had feelings for Tess, but he'd had so much rotten luck with women, that he didn't even recognize what these feelings were.  Not until she got shot.  She was his "almost" little sister.  His mother and her father had been engaged -- before they died.  So he felt obligated to look after Tess.  He thought.

Did Tess trust him, though?  And why not?  But she had to.  He was the only one with the experience to keep her alive.

Oops.  Just read the back cover.  This is the first of a series that Diana was doing.  As it's from 1992, I'm sure she's finished it by now.  I'll have to go looking for some of the others.

Excellence rating:  Great -- 4.5 stars

Steam rating:  Sensual

Hi..Donna

There actually are 2 more books in the series of books.  I will look up the titles for you.  The other 2 are about the two other people that work in the agency.  I really enjoyed this series.  But then I really love Diana Palmer's Books.

See Ya!Smile

Hi Sadhbh & Susan

Sadhbh, I would have blogged more, but we had 20 people over for a wiener roast tonight -- one of the granddaughter's birthdays.  And of  course, no one goes home early on a Sat. night. . .  Smile  But we really had a good time, so I won't complain.

Susan, thanks, that sounds good.  At least then I'll know what I'm looking for.  I make myself lists, and then when I go to my dsis's I stop in at all the UBS's near her place.

I'm really disgusted with the UBS that's close to me.  She won't take (or sell) any romances unless they're from a well-known author, or they're part of a numbered series -- like Nora Roberts Donovan series, or the Calhouns.  Well, I've got all those already.  I bought them from here and kept them.  I don't think she's going to be in business too long.

The other 2 books in this series are:

The Case of the Confirmed Bachelor (1992)

The Case of the Missing Secretary (1992)

I absolutely love Diana Palmer books and both of these are indirectly related to her Long Tall Texan Series.

Thanks, Cathiels.  I've added them to my "To Be Looked For" list.  Smile
