This is book #2 in the O'Hurleys series. It is Maddy's story.
Maddy, the middle triplet (I think -- I'm not sure we were ever told what order they were born in. If we were, then I've forgotten) is a wonderful dancer and performer. She meets Reed in the middle of an attempted purse-snatching -- her purse being the one attempting to be snatched.
Maddy has found that life is too short to stand on ceremony, so when she takes a liking to Reed, she invites him to dinner, not willing to wait for him to make the first move.
That starts them off on a very interesting relationship. They rescue a kidnapped baby, among other things. But will he ever pop the question? Or is his trust of women completely gone? What does Maddy's plant have to do with anything?
Once again a wonderful story from Nora. Right up there with all the others.
