CJ Parker is a defense attorney who has just joined her father's firm and who has to defend a teenager accused of beating another boy so badly he had brain damage. She's up against ADA Roarke Farrell who's interested in more than legal briefs if CJ is involved. But with an overprotective father and an opponent who wants to become her lover, can CJ concentrate on her defense long enough to save her client?
This was enjoyable, but for some reason I kept getting interrupted and it took me nearly a week to read it (I did actually read loads of other books in between) I don't know why, because the book itself was good and I was interested in the outcome. I loved the way she managed to persuade the men in her life to back off and give her some space
