Cassidy had been asked by Elizabeth Wisdom to come and cook for 6 months at a new outreach mission that was opening in Chicago. It was the dream of Tyson's sister, who was dead, and he was guardian to her son.
The first thing that happens is that Cass finds Ty in a very dirty and unorganized kitchen with a badly burned pot -- er, saucepan -- in his hand. It escalates from there to Ty's nephew getting hurt by broken glass and needing to be rushed to the hospital. What a start. Sure glad it wasn't me.
But they took it all in stride, and everything worked out, even though I found Ty to be rather arrogant and bossy. But he came down off his high horse by the end of the book.
