Veronica comes home to sell up the family bar and look after her niece when her sister is murdered and her brother-in-law becomes a fugitive when he is suspected of the murder. Coop is barman/manager of the bar (also her BIL's half-brother but she doesn't know that), living in the attic and driving her nuts. They become lovers but each of them have issues quite apart from the need to find her sister's killer. How will Veronica react when she finds out who he really is?
This was amusing, annoying in parts but overall a good read.
