Sterling Prescott comes to El Paso because his acquisitions agent Trey Tanner wanted him to save KTEX TV instead of buying it cheap. Then he picks up a beautiful woman who's knocked down in front of him and they almost have sex in a public bathroom. Chloe, manager of KTEX is totally shocked when the bathroom stranger is Trey Tanner and she insults him and his boss before 'Trey' can admit that he's really Sterling Prescott. So 'Trey' promises to get the station back on its financial feet within a month and devises a local Bachelor reality show, but when the Catch elopes with one of the Roses just before filming starts, 'Trey' and Chloe have to stand in. She finds out who Sterling really is at this point but doesn't tell him, determined to get her revenge. Will she believe Sterling is sincere when he finally decides to tell her the truth?
Amusing story, there was less interference from the friends in this one, so it was a lot more enjoyable from my POV. Made me want to acquire and read #3 which is not waiting in the TBR.
