Evie's delighted about her new job but first she has a last fling with Arch in London but when she gets back to the U.S. she discovers Milo has hired her as a singer, not a fraud catcher! Then she has to save her mother from a sweetheart scam but when she gets home, Arch is waiting – the Baron of Broxley. Is he jealous of Milo? What's going on between Arch and Gina? Will Evie's parents get back together? Will Evie earn her place or get booted off the Chameleon team before she's even joined?
The more I see of Arch the more I don't like the guy. I like Milo but it doesn't look like Milo and Evie are going to end up an item. I liked Evie's growing relationship with her mom and how the team began to take Evie seriously towards the end. I'd have to see how book #3 shapes up but would like to see more focus on the scams as the humour in this book didn't really work for me.
