This book is #2 in the Heartland Homecoming series by this author.
Mark was told by his father that he would be spending a minimum of three months in Oak Hill, Missouri, in order to completely investigate the failing newspaper in that town. We're talking here about someone who had never been out of a big city in his life. . .
Why his father wanted to purchase this small newspaper was beyond him, but Mark did as he was told. Then he met Abby.
Why, other than the failing finances of the newspaper, was Abby so stressed out? Could it be because her mother had died from a diabetes-related problem, and now Abby was also diabetic? Why didn't she want anyone to know about her condition? How did Mark react when he found out? How did they manage to solve their problems in the end? Did one of them have to sacrifice everything, or did they reach a suitable compromise?
