After reading Bayou Justice, I wondered if there would be a sequel -- and hoped there would. Bayou Corruption is book #2 in this series by this author. This also seems to be her second book for Steeple Hill. I hope there are many more.
Alyssa just about had a heart attack when she realized that the bag she found in the middle of the road contained the barely alive body of the sheriff. If she hadn't gone in the ditch because of the mud on the rain-soaked road, she may have hit him and killed him.
The sheriff had asked Jackson to come to Lagniappe to help him solve the mystery of the bayou. What did Alyssa and Jackson have in common? And why was she so antagonistic toward him when she'd never met him before? Or had she?

Glad You Enjoyed it!
Hey, Donna! Glad you liked Bayou Corruption. Writing Alyssa and Jacks' story was a lot of fun. She was such a total opposite character than her sister CoCo (the heroine of book 1) that I had a great time getting to know her.

Robin, I've read books 3 & 4 already, too, and enjoyed them just as much as the first two.
I got into trouble last year when I started blogging my read books out of the order I read them in, so I'm being very strict with myself and only blogging in the order I've read them this year. But the blogs for Bayou Judgement and Bayou Paradox will be coming shortly. (I hope)
