#515 Splendid - Julia Quinn

Emma’s father persuades her to go across the Atlantic to London for the season because he wants her to marry well and happily, so she goes, convinced she’ll be back soon and still single, but then, dressed as a maid, she saves a little boy from a carriage and Alex, Duke of Ashbourne, the little boy’s uncle, is smitten, despite a firm intention not to fall in love. How they end up at the altar and what happens afterwards is the main story.
Very enjoyable story from Ms Quinn. Nice historical.
