Wings of Refuge, Book 2

While it is not necessary to read book 1 in order to fully enjoy this book, it was also outstanding and I reccommend it be added to your wish list as well.  It is going on my keeper shelf.

This book opens shortly after the wedding of the hero and heroine from book one.  Manny is doing  training parachute jumps and his lucky parachute gets twisted.  Caught without his knife, his backup becomes entangled with the main parachute and he crashes.  Dealing with and recovering from his injuries is a main thread throughout this book and allows him the time in Refuge to get to know Celia and her teen son better.

Celia wants nothing to do with the brash, hispanic man who had embarassed and drunkenly propositioned her at her best friend's wedding. She doubts his recent faith rededication and even though the sparks of attraction might be there, another man with a dangerous career is the last thing she intends to let into her life again after losing her beloved policeman husband to a  drug dealer's gun.  Then there is her son, whose acting out needs all of her focus right now.

THis was a great book with rich emotions, quirky humor and multifaced characters.  Wyatt's first book was a winner and she does not disappoint with this sequel.  I'm looking forward to her next book!
