FBI profiler Madison is proud of her profession and determined to make her own way without her father’s or godfather’s influence, so when the latter pulls strings to have her on a special taskforce investigating murders in international trade consortiums she’s not sure she’s happy about it and she’s definitely unhappy about Gabriel, her co-leader, who seems determined to push all her hot buttons but together they make a formidable team. Is the Chinese deal the real target of the murderer or are they on a wild goose chase and who’s sending them on it? Who’s the ninth name on the killer’s list and why?
Great suspense, well-crafted and very enjoyable. Gabriel got on my nerves a bit too much, because his teasing didn’t ring true when he disliked Madison so much. Nice gripping conclusion
