Bullet Catchers: Book 3
This is my first Bullet Catchers book and I did not have any problem picking up the story without reading the others in the series. But it won't be my last, especially since the book involving the hunky Austrailian introduced in this book has already come out.
Take Me TOnight is an internet site where women sign up for the "thrill" of being Kidnapped and then rescued by a white knight who is ready to fulfill her every wish. Sage's roommate participated in this site, like many of the other cheerleaders on her dance team. Only now her roommate is dead and the police have deemed it suicide. Sage thinks she was killed and asks her aunt Lucy (who heads up the Bullet Catchers) for help. Lucy discourages her, but then secretly puts one of her most loyal men on Sage's tail to insure she doesn't do anything rash like sign up for a kidnapping herself. WHich, of course, is exactly what she does. Jonny "rescues" her right before the actual snatch occurs and she thinks he is one of the paid white knights. She tries to seduce him to get more information about the service. Suddenly she and Johnny are in the middle of a series of scary events that seems to say that someone is not happy with Sage's poking around. Who is threatening her? And did her roommate really kill herself?
THis was a really good romantic suspense. I liked the idea of the internet "kidnapping", though it was a little hard to believe that women would be that stupid. Johnny was a great character and I really liked his two co-workers who showed up at one point. I'm looking forward to books featuring them too. The suspense continued throughout the whole novel and while I thought I had figured out whodunit, she kept me guessing with other viable characters.
