#75 Tycoon’s Valentine Vendetta by Yvonne Lindsay, Desire #1854, 2008

Lily Fontaine had lived the life of a super model until recurring bouts of mono had left her too weak to work.

Also, unwise investments had sapped her financial security.  She returned to her father’s home in Onemata, New Zealand to restructure her life.  She met Jack Dolan, her first love, as she filled the take of her car as she arrives in town.

Lily left town ten years ago, pregnant and alone and when the baby was stillborn, she just never came back.  Her father hustled her out of town and boarded her with a couple that owed her father a big favor.  When the baby died, she went to the University in Auckland and met an agent that set her on her career path.

Jack Dolan wanted revenge.  Lily’s father had caused he fathers death and the devastation that followed.  He wanted to destroy Charles Fontaine and his company and his daughter.  He planned it all and would deliver the final blow in about a week when Charles would find out he lost the contract he needed to save his business.  He also planned to seduce Lily and throw it in Charles’s face.

Lily was skeptical in getting back together with Jack but he slowly breaks down her defenses until she sleeps with him. When she returns to her father’s the next morning he is in a rage.  Neither Jack nor Lily know the whole story. Charles has kept information and lied outright to serve his own ends.

I enjoyed this story and recommend it to all.
