When Kitty Sugarman was in a car accident with her mother she shifted into a lioness. It was probably the error from the smell of gasoline when she woke up upside down in the car and found the seat belt broken. She had no idea she could shift form. That’s when she found out that her daddy was not a boy from the senior class that got killed in an accident on prom night.
She got off the plane in Las Vegas with one little overnighter planning to slap him across the face. For twenty four years she never contacted her. No cards, no attention, nothing. She had come to find out her heritage. To figure out how to control shifting so that she wouldn’t harm anyone. The flight from Tennessee took twelve hours due to massive delays and weather issues. She got off the plane and into the ladies room and she was attacked in the bathroom and shifted. When a totally gorgeous man came into the bathroom and scared off her attacker, he seemed to be able to know what she was thinking. He helped her shift back to human form and explained he was here as her father’s emissary to pick her up and take her to her hotel.
Her head was spinning and trust was a big issue here, but Max Stuart swept her off her feet and into a hotel which her father owned and he managed and put her in a suite that was bigger than her home in Tennessee. Max was expecting a gold digger interested in Martin Lowe’s money. It fairly knocked his socks off that this innocent young lady didn’t even know her father HAD money, and besides, that is not why she came. Max was totally attracted to this girl who was totally unlike the women he usually dated. As Martin’s second in command and CEO of the Savannah Hotel and Casino, Max was also Martin’s heir apparent. Martin Lowe was a self made millionaire and leader of the Red Rock Pride.
I thought I found a new author… NOT…. This is the 6th book in the series of Others. Now I am tracking down the earlier 5. Sigh… I really hate that. But I did enjoy ‘Elly May’ Kitty meeting up with Las Vegas millionaire Max and coming out ahead.
