Tamara Kendle had taken many hits this year.
A big client stiffed her on a bill and she lost her business, her house and her car. She went to her friend Marco’s and they ended up in bed and now she is pregnant and Marco just died in a motorcycle accident. She was late on her bills and had nobody to turn to. She was just scraping by.
Marco’s brother, Armand DeLuca waylaid her at the funeral and took her out for coffee. He offered to marry her and help with the baby. She knew him 15 minutes and he proposes. He finally came clean. He had to marry and produce an heir by his 33 birthday or lose control of much of his company. He figured she was pregnant with his brother’s child so it should all work out.
She asked him for time to think about it and he showed up at her apartment after she was injured on the job and she quit. He picked up the stack of unpaid bills on the counter and the notice that the rent was past due two months and she finally gave in and moved to his home. She still had to decide to marry him. She wanted the fantasy – the true love in her life. He wanted the heir to get his company. He figured he could romance her and put on a show and she bought it, however there were other factors working against them.
I enjoyed it for the most part when I didn’t want to slap them each upside the head … mostly him for not completely being honest with her. Rating Good
