#89 - Forgotten Marriage by Paula Roe (SD #1824, Sept 2007)

book cover"A tragic accident had erased pieces of billionaire Finn Sørensen's memory. Including all recollection of his wife. But what wife?

The one he'd been told had married him for his money? The one who now owned a controlling share of his family's jewellery empire?

Ally McKnight's image was burned into Finn's memory from photographs -- pictures that captured the passion between them. It was time she received a surprise visit from her long-lost husband. The one who wouldn't let her forget just what she owed him."

Rating:  Very Good - 4 Stars

This story tugs on the heartstrings - and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  When Ally met and married Finn in Australia, she did not know about his money and commitment to his family's business.  Upon moving to Denmark, she quickly learned where his priorities lay and she became very unhappy as she saw her husband change overnight and their marriage disintegrate right before her eyes.

I thought this story was well done.  Since Finn's memory is gone, we learn about their romance and troublesome marriage only through Ally's eyes.  I loved how Finn was appalled at the man he had been and so wanted to prove to Ally that he had changed.

Hi Margie!

It had been sitting on my shelf for a while - I guess the blurb just didn't grab me.  Well, was I wrong!  Excellent story - I'll look forward to hearing how you like it  - next week after June 1st!

Hi ElleJay

I finished FM and I loved it. I also really liked how Finn was so sick by his previous actions. Loved the end and loved the epilogue. I love when I find new authors.

Hi Margie!

I'm glad you enjoyed it too.  I really thought their relationship was well done.  You could see what a jerk he was before and the massive change in him now.

I'll watching for more of her books.
