Mortal Enemy, Immortal Lover was a fascinating paranormal story about Javed, an experiment gone wrong, an immortal created to be predator to demons and vampires and other monsters, but so good that the monsters try to get Javed and their other natural predators, the Eradicators, to mutually eliminate each other. Unfortunately for them Désirée and Javed are soulmates and recognise each other as such before they try to kill each other, and therefore don’t put as much energy into lethal blows as they should. Who survives ? How will Javed react when Desi tells him of her unnaturally short life span ? – Truly excellent short Nocturne full of Olivia’s usual intensity with the paranormal aspects spiking up the tension, the love scenes are of heat wave intensity and the only thing "wrong" is how short it is and how long we’ll have to wait for another episode in Olivia’s paranormal universe.
The Viking's Forbidden Love-Slave is the story of Tharand, a Viking warrior who kidnaps Aisling to give her to his Viking king, hopeful that the king will free Tharand’s 15-year old sister in exchange, but the journey to the court gives Tharand time to fall in love with Aisling and by the time they get there, he no longer wishes to give her to the king. But can he save his sister and Aisling or will he have to choose ? – an excellent extremely steamy love story between two natural enemies, I loved the descriptions of both the Viking and the Celtic aspects and the love story was both romantic and compelling. Those Undones get pretty steamy. I don't remember a full length historical being that steamy.
I've only really started getting into paranormals this year and loved Olivia's leap into the paranormal. Definitetly wanna hear more from her in this genre and in a longer book. But I did find that Olivia created the same emotion and intensity as in a one of her full length books
