After the Night by Linda Howard (Pocket Star Books)

Faith Devlin: A poor, outcast child in Prescott, Louisiana, she'd always adored
the town's golden boy from afar. But he called her white trash that sultry
Southern night when his rich, respected father disappeared, along with her
pretty Mom. Now Faith wanted to hate Gray Rouillard...not to feel a powerful
surge of desire. But she couldn't quench her passion, any more than she could
hide the truth about the past she had waited so long to unravel.

Again a melodramatic book by Linda Howard. It was another awesome book. Gray did what he did to her to protect the family name. I did wonder why he never thought to
hire a private detective to find his father. Even a cursory check to see if you
could find him would have been better than nothing. Nonetheless, I liked this
book lots.

Hi Vikki

Hi Vikki

This is another Linda Howard book that I have not read in years. I agree with you about LH's melodrama and I love it too. My heart was pumping with anger at Gray sometimes but not always. . .when she saw him on the street and turned to get away only to have him follow her into the restroom!

Hehe...

That scene was actually kind of funny and horribly embarassing for her.
